I’ve started Hang Cleaning with the Hook Grip! (I used to use the Pronated Grip). It took some practice, but i’m now able to lift much heavier, with much more ease! This is 70KG, about 70% of my 1RM! I would certainly recommend the hook grip, but it’s important to make sure that you have adequate shoulder, hip and ankle mobility before performing this movement #hangcleans#ung#nighthawks
Been working on training like I train my athletes lately. I've made it a goal for myself to perform at least 1 Olympic lift every week and it's been going well! I've been hesitant doing Olympics since my knee surgery from last May (especially pushing them weight wise). While this isn't close to my PR (245), I did hit 205 this week on hang cleans. Proud to be pushing myself back to hitting these hard. It felt great and went very smooth. Definitely aiming for that 225 pull in the next month! . . 💪
So i am going to point this out before I get Instagram blasted. Yes I am not flexible and thats as close as the bar gets to my chest. But that is not the point of this workout. #hangcleans on the #pitshark works on explosive hips
100# on the pit shark along with bands and 45# plates on the bar.
