Today, I would love to share one of my favourite Myth with you ❤️ . Hanumana was a semi god, Monkey shaped warrior of King Ram's Army. The bravest and most loyal one. However, he was curse with short memory, and he couldn't remember to have divine power. . Once, he was sent to find Sita, Ram's wife, who was held, against her will, in the Island of Lanka, the Demons Kingdom of King Ravana. . To reach the island, Hanuman flew over the ocean, One foot was extended to reach forward and one foot to reach backward, taking the shape of Hanumanasana. Despite all adversity, Hanuman arrived at the Island, found Sati, and with Ram, they defeated the demon's troops. . Hanumanasana embodies all the qualities of a Yogi: faith, fearlessness, and complete devotion. Moreover, like Hanuman, we often forget, that part of us is divine, and we can accomplish the impossible. . It is with faith and hope that we can go forward with confidence and leap across oceans, change the world or simply fall in love. . During 2018 I and three fantastic Yoga Teachers have committed to bringing you a monthly seven days challenge where we will be sharing with you the different ways to perform the same asana. . As Yoga practitioners, before choosing the Yoga style that suits us best, we often tried many different disciplines. And while doing so, we might have experienced doubts about an asana alignment. Why that pose in the Ashtanga Vinyasa class, is different than in the Hatha yoga class? Which alignment is the correct one? It can be confusing, doesn’t it?! . First of all, there is no “ONE AND ONLY ALIGNMENT.” BUT, there are different disciplines with different alignments. Такой вариант вертикального отрицательного шпагата прекрасно растягивает связки ног, раскрывает тазобедренные, прорабатывает гибкость позвоночника, убирает многие блоки и зажимы из тела и всяческим образом подготавливает к уже более продвинутой гибкости 👼 Конечно, для начала как минимум нужно сидеть свободно на всех трёх шпагатах (поперечный и два продольных), попробовать затем сделать такую затяжку самостоятельно, чтобы тело привыкло к новому для себя опыту (а мягко говоря, это далеко не одно и то же, что сесть на обычный шпагат на полу), и уже потом можно обращаться к партнеру, который поможет уйти в дальнейший прогресс 💪 Положение рук я выбрал для себя (как на фото) со времён, когда только научился (на фото 2012 год) - так максимально эффективно осуществляется давление и комфортнее выполнять-держаться. After dropping off @loren.murphy at the airport and packing all day, I was spent. I took a break from packing and went on a much needed hike. I went to my favorite place to say my own goodbye to Phoenix. This place has provided so many memories for me, and letting go is not easy. Flowing on a rock with the wind in my face looking over the city helped me get some resolution. I’m a little less than thrilled to go to Yuma. I’m preparing myself for starting over and feeling a little isolated. It’s a new adventure, but sometimes I just want everything to stay put. I’ve got new lessons to learn and there’s no escaping the waves of change. I’ll miss you Phoenix. ✌🏼

Hanuman’s devotion allowed him to overcome all #obstacles , reminding us that faith in our true being allows us to honor our past and embrace future possibilities while living in the present moment. #hanumanasana is a vigorous and rejuvenating #hipopener , providing deep opening in the legs, buttocks and pelvic floor. Practice #hanumasana this time of year to release, visualize your back leg as your past history and your front leg as your future possibilities. Honor both the past and future in yourself, and affirm your ability to remain in the present, witnessing consciously. Rest in the #presentmoment knowing your true being is timeless. . . “As I release tension from the core of my being, I embrace the present moment completely.” . . #hanumanasana balances all #doshas , and activates all #5elements . Use blocks under the hand and bolsters under pelvic floor to ease the legs and hips into this opener, breath deep filling your hips and lower back with energy and opening. Allow the legs to release while keeping the hips facing forward and level, place a washcloth under the front heel to ease sliding the leg forward. Use core to stabilize the legs, prevent the knees from rolling out.
