One of the magical things about music is its timeless quality. This piece of music was my Grandma Helen’s who was an accomplished pianist. How special to find this piano piece of hers called Harp Celestial! I began harp lessons at age 10 - the summer before she passed away. I’ve framed the music and it now hangs in a room where her granddaughter and great-grandchildren are finding their musical voices. (Pictured with one of her piano students)

World Pancreatic Cancer Awareness Day 💜
My Mother's first noticed symptom was mid-back pain. Within a few days she was jaundiced. 💜
She had other signs and symptoms, but they had been missed or misdiagnosed, which is common. Most people are not diagnosed until the cancer has spread. 💜
There are no early detection methods. The five year survival rate is only 9%. 💜
Please support funding for research for Pancreatic Cancer research. www.pancan.org 💜
With a constantly changing light show illuminating its glass facade, the Harpa building is challenging to shoot at night.
Getting the timing right took a handful of tries and I still had to deal with retouching a few annoying street light reflections.
Harpa Concert Hall- Reykjavik, Iceland. Building started in 2007, first concert in 2011. Built by the Danish firm Henning Larsen Architects in cooperation with Danish -Icelandic artist Olafur Eliasson. It has a great glass facade inspired by the basaltic landscape of Iceland. #iceland#reykjavik#harpa#architecture
