This was my grandparent's farm when I was growing up. My dad grew up here. I learned how to drive a tractor, a combine, a truck, a car, and a riding lawnmower here. I learned North from South and East from West by knowing what was on each side of the shop/machine shed. I learned the value of working hard, playing hard, and praying hard. I remember the term Stewardship and being a steward of the soil, taking care of it for the next generation. Sadly, I also remember the Sheriff's Sale on the courthouse steps as it slipped out of our family and into another. .
Thanks to my sister, Carla, for driving by the farm once in awhile to document the changes. This is her beautiful photo.
