Just when you though you've seen all Lange 1 editions on my page; a rare stuff comes up! Well, another reason to follow, right? This is, Lange 1 Moonphase in pink gold, limited with 8 pieces. The watch belongs to Dresden Set which was coupled with pink gold - white dial 1815 first generation chronograph which is up for sale @colognewatch
Also known as reference 109.033X, the set was first introduced in 2006 and only 8 couples were produced. The set was announced to celebrate the 800th year of Dresden. Just like other Lange 1 reference that ends with the letter "X" this is a rare catch.
The watch was made of pink gold and measures 38,50 mm in diameter and 10,40 mm in thickness. It has the usual applied markers and luminous hands. Lange 1 Moonphase models are always seem breathtaking to me. The solid gold Moon disc's shining from the right bottom corner is always a fantastic view. Equilateral triangle formed by hours-minutes, subsidiary seconds and big date ensures the symmetrical look in an asymmetrical design. The space at the right side of the watch is cleverly covered with a very useful power reserve indicator. A fantastic, timeless design..
Caliber L901.5 which was based on L901.0 runs this elegant watch. It features the classic old Lange 1 movement layout with little cut-outs. A distinctive, characteristic and immaculate movement. You can see "800 Jahre Dresden" inscripted on the caseback.
