Couldn’t not take a picture of this beauty on my walk. So red! ❤️🌺
Accessorize your long weekend picnic at the beach or park with pops of print and color that spark absolute joy! 😍🍍✨
Getting out of the house is tough with an infant, especially early in the morning. But, Todd and I finally made it to the east side of the island to see the sunrise. We’ve tried this a handful of other times and always got there too late. I think it helped that I was HIGHLY motivated to be at @heather_wild
’s wedding on time.
Missing this view (and the weather ☀️)
Did you set your intentions for the week?
Pet Peeve/Fun Fact: Many times in my life I have been told by others that they have never met someone who makes 100% eye contact when talking to them, quite like I do. 🤷♀️ I never realized this until I was told, but it did make me research some things and what I found was that, “sustained eye contact can significantly raise oxytocin levels in both humans and animals” (think how ‘puppy eyes’ make you feel 🐶). Though my beliefs stem from two things: 1.) my upbringing & 2.) anecdotal evidence correlating to meeting people from all walks of life, all around the world, with wildly varying personalities and dispositions. To me, for the most part, I believe that eye contact is a sign of honesty, respect, and self-awareness. But also, it helps us as humans to actually *listen to hear* what someone is saying, rather than merely *listening to respond*. 👁Eyes are captivating not just because of their color - but because of the subconscious words that they hold within them. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
✨Have you ever thought about the people, strangers even, who you pass by, make eye contact with - and their immediate response is a warm, genuine smile?! 😃 How great does that make you feel?? Those are my kind of GOOD VIBES people! 🙌🏼🤩🙏🏼
Magnificent view. Perfect second location for this lovely couple's engagement session.
Catch you on the other side 🤙🏽
Twin Rocks at Onomea Bay.
Legend has it that one day, a chief of the village spotted many canoes with sails heading shoreward in their direction. Fearing an attack, the chiefs and village elders held a council to determine a course of action. They decided to build a reef to prevent a landing on their beaches. Not having the means to complete the task quickly enough, they asked for two young lovers to be the guides and protectors of the village by giving their lives. Two willing individuals were found.
That night a decree was sent to all who lived at Kahali'i to remain indoors from sunset to sunrise without making any light or sound, on penalty of death. In the light of the new day, everyone went down to the shoreline where they were amazed to find the lovers gone, and in their place two gigantic rock formations at the entrance of the Bay, attached to each other, as if on guard.
The chief informed the people that no canoe could now pass the treacherous currents swirling around the rocks unless allowed to do so by the guardians. The lovers and their offspring still stand today, sentinels at the head of the Bay.

Nature never ceases to amaze me
Posting this solely because of that lens flare. I’m also unsure what to do with the nature shots I shoot for fun, so if ya’ll have any ideas or input, help a brotha out. 😬
The Kailua Village stroll was today with over 100 vendors and the view for vendors and shoppers alike could not have been more beautiful! If you can make it down there on the last Sunday of each month, you”ll be treated to music, food, art and T H I S close to Kailua Bay!
Supermoon Eclipse brings new superfood 🍩
Found this fantastic tidepool tonight near the Natural Energy Lab! Great place to watch the crashing high surf today!
The lifeguards are literally asking anyone without flippers and a board to get out of the waves right now here at #magicsandsbeach
No recreational swimming, but people think they can handle it. If you travel here and it’s high surf..Don’t go in. This is a very dangerous beach.
Did you know that the Hawaiian word for Tiki is Ki’i? The statues at #puuhonuaohonaunau
are a great place to stand and envision life centuries ago when Kane (god of life & light)
Ku (god of war)
Kanaloa (god of the sea)
Lono (god of peace & fertility) were revered here.
Here for a park clean up event and wanted to share how beautiful it is here!
Gorgeous clear days in Hawaii need to be shown as a video sometimes..remembering days of VOG and feeling SUPER grateful for days like today. Come visit!
