Though the place has changed alot, I can still remember the old face of this city from two decades ago. It's as if it was vividly imprinted on my memory - the old version of Aguinaldo Highway. I can still recognize the old commercial buildings, the faded and weather-beaten billboards and signages from both sides of it, the tiny shops, the alleyways, the random vandalisms, etc. Sometimes it makes me feel nostalgic whenever I spotted some untouched pieces of its familiar face. I miss the earthy smell of the ricefields with goats and cows roaming around. Now the greenery is almost covered by the concrete entities - malls, subdivisions, gas stations, fast food chains, and another malls are still budding. Before, Lotus Mall, SM Bacoor and Robinson's Place Imus are the only ones people can go to. Now, people have a lot to choose from to hang out to. Aguinaldo Highway is now dubbed as the Edsa Highway Version 2 because of it's irrevocably worsening traffic situations. I guess that's the downside of urbanization here in Cavite.
Hopefully, wag matulad 'to sa Metro Manila.
