⭐️🔥Happy Wednesday Friends🔥⭐️ I hope everyone is doing great 😁 I haven’t posted in a while, as life has been super hectic lately. Now that the dust is starting to settle, it’s time to refocus and set some new goals.
September 13th was my 60 day mark on my program. I’m beyond excited to say that I have lost 27 pounds ‼️🔥‼️ and I’m thinking it’s time to MAKE TIME to add some moderate exercise into my week.
Something that I gave a lot of 🤔thought🤔 to prior to joining the program was taking a look at my priorities, be it family, work, health, relationships, etc. The thing I realized, my personal ⏰wake up call⏰ if you will, was that I put everything and everyone else before ME! I realized that in order to be 🙌🏼successful🙌🏼 on a program and stick to it, I needed to start by putting myself first. That’s not to say that everything else is now on the back burner, it’s just that I had to reprioritize my priorities. That mind shift has made all the difference my journey to optimal health. If I can do it - SO CAN YOU ❤️ .

Sometimes we have to be willing to do two things: 1) Honor how far we’ve come. We often forget all of the things we overcame and accomplished. We push through them, shove them under the rug, and move on. Take some time today to acknowledge where you’re at in your life and how you’ve risen above the hard times to become the person you are today. 2) Admit that we’ve never reached true mastery in all areas of life. We may be intelligent, but uncoordinated in sports, or really good at math but not at foreign languages, super social, but unwilling to truly connect with others. Whatever it may be, be willing to be humble and admit having a student mindset or being curious will allow you to grow in so many new ways.
Although I’ve apparently lost 5lbs since I moved to FL and am back down to the weight I was when I had a personal trainer, my physique isn’t where I want it to be. I’d like more muscle tone, more lifted glutes, and better endurance. When I say that, don’t think that it’s because I’m putting myself down. It’s all an art form. I want to fine-tune my Spanish skills again. I want to learn how to dance to Latin music really well. The list goes on. There are things I can control through habits, consistency, food choices, workout routines, etc.
I have consistently paid for a Coach, whether it be because of my health and fitness goals in the past, life goals or business goals, because having someone with more wisdom than me in certain areas, who provides guidance, support and accountability has been invaluable.

7 years and one month ago I woke up at 3am to the house phone ringing. A couple minutes later my parents walked into my room and told me it was my grandma calling to talk to me. As a 17 year old, telling your grandparents you love them is kind of weird, but I distinctly remember this urge to say: “Good luck in your surgery. Stay strong. I love you.” I didn’t know at that time, but I was saying goodbye to her. A few days later I walk into the kitchen after my volleyball game, hopped up on the barstool, and my mom told me my grandma didn’t make it. I didn’t say anything, but walked upstairs and sat on my bed. I also didn’t know at the time I was about to walk through a tough couple months. I haven’t been the same person since that day. 7 years later I find myself recently walking through a tough couple months and while I was (still) unpacking into my apt I came across the only thing of hers I kept, her Bible. The next hour I sat on my floor and read all of her notes cover to cover. That Sunday in Church I prayed and asked her to send me a sign that she can hear me. I walked out to a missed call from my dad, her son (who btw never calls me) and received the smallest glimpse that everything is going to be okay. My grandma is the only person I’ve felt like #1
to and for that reason, I miss her the most. I wish on nights like this I could call her one more time. I post on this account because I try to motivate here. Who in your life do you need to call? Who makes you feel like #1

I can’t believe I’ve made it 3 days in a row and 2 of them at 5 am no less! I am already feeling more energetic, my mind is clearer and I feel stronger. Does my body ache? Absolutely! As it should. I’m already looking forward to day 4! 🚃 We’re camping this weekend so I will miss bootcamp Friday and Saturday, but will be hitting the trails at the campground to keep my body conditioned. I don’t want to fall of the rails too far. My intention is to workout at least 5 days a week.
There are other accountability measures as a part of this challenge as well. Like keeping a food journal and hydrating. There is also a meal plan. This has forced me to pay more attention to what I am eating and how much water I am consuming (hydration is something I have always struggled with even as an NTP). Even those of us who are trained still need to pay attention and keep track. I am sticking to my normal way of eating since I know it is what works best for me. I eat Paleoish most of the time. I don’t do well with refined carbs at all, my body craves complex carbs, fat 🥑 and protein. I recently cut coffee for six weeks. I knew I was drinking far too much. I only recently re-introduced it although not near the quantity I was consuming it before. I don’t need coffee but I sure do enjoy it! After having to give up many of the foods I use to enjoy (because my body didn’t like them) I have decided to keep my cup (or two) of joe! ☕️ Left photo: just after workout, looking a little disheveled 😂

First workout in 22 days ✅⠀
So I want to touch on a few things tonight:⠀
1) 22 days ago I was killin’ the halfway point of my 60-day experiment, but shit happens, and here I am now lol. So if you were waiting to hear from me in regards to my results from those 60 days, hang in there! My plan is to complete the second half as planned, and then report back as promised. ⠀
2) No, I didn’t plan on taking a 22-day hiatus from training...But shit happens. Good shit, bad shit, mental health shit, ya know the usual. A year and a half ago, I would have lost my crap if I didn’t train for 22 days. Hate myself, punish myself, probably cry if we’re being honest here. It still doesn’t feel good, but I’ve now been able to get to a place where I can be OK with not training. I can recognize when I need to take a step back and prioritize other, more basic aspects of my physical and mental health. And although I still struggle internally about being “lazy”, a “bad role models to my clients”, a “hypocrite”, being “fat”...the works...at the end of the day I love myself and my body. I recognize the incredible things it accomplishes daily. I recognize that there is more to health than being ripped. I recognize that sometimes one or two things need to be put on the back-burner so that I don’t completely lose my shit. And I recognize that I love myself, that I’m not perfect, and that there’s always room for growth - and THAT IS OK!!!⠀
So. Feeling good after this first workout back (very pleased w/ strength retention 💪🏼), and hope your getting pumped up for my *delayed* 60 day results and overview!!⠀

En Instagram ven las transformaciones increibles ) que solo logran con el gym.... ehym... Obvio en la primera foto no es "solo" el gym. Les enseño como identificar mentiras por una cosa muy sencilla como es la anatomía natural de una mujer - la linea gluteo/femoral.
Izquierda - silicona (la linea muy vertical, cuadrada). Derecha - sin silicona (forma media luna). ¿Por que no digo "natural"? Porque ninguna lo es!
Si no es silicona, es hormona de crecimiento, roids y T3. De hecho pueden leer en el perfil de una competirora famosa que tiene problemas con su tiroides (es por T3 pero siempre mienten que no :P )
No digo que no se puede mejorar el cuerpo, pero las formas raras y el musculo exagerado no existe en la naturaleza.
Espero no arruinar su día hermoso con la sinceridad. Sigan los perfiles "100% natural" y sigan traumandose ;)

When starting out it’s important to get that heart rate up. Intervals are great. Just make sure you’re doing something that’s pretty low risk. Airdyne is my go to for this. I can give a hard effort without rippin myself apart.

Life is full of twists and turns. I have found expectations only lead to disappointment.
Life has been very interesting since returning from my mini vacation/Reiki classes.
First, I had to work on unpacking after moving homes (which is still on progress. Waiting on a shelf). Hours after I return home and start unpacking I find out my mom is in the hospital.
I've been juggling looking after my mother, getting my environment in order, while keeping my internal environment in order.
Thankfully, through numerous self care practices and dedication to growth I am able to handle chaos much better than even a year ago.
In little time, things are already looking up again and after 3 years, I'm able to quit my 9 to 5 (or 1 to 9, I should say).
More energy will finally be poured into creative endevors and Life Coaching program 🌹

Nearly everyone can benefit from massage therapy and its ability to relax muscle tissue and improve blood flow.
In fact, those with chronic pain may find that they’d like to get more massages, but it's too expensive.
With this in mind, we searched for some do-it-yourself ideas and found great examples of how patients with back pain can seek pain relief through do-it-yourself massage techniques.
Here's what you'll need to do: •Place 2 tennis balls next to each other and use as much duct tape as needed to secure the balls in this shape. When completed, the tennis balls and duct tape contraption will look like a peanut. •Place the tennis balls on the ground and then lie on them in the supine position (lying down face-up), keeping the knees bent. The tennis balls should be parallel to your waist and centered just above the lumbar spine (lower back). •Adjust yourself until you feel balanced and comfortable, and then raise both arms with your fingers pointed toward the ceiling. Keep your arms as straight as possible. •Beginning with either your right or left arm, slowly lower your arm back toward your head. Once again, keep your arms as straight as possible and feel free to bend your neck backward when moving your arms. •Bring the arm backward to the ground. Hold this position for a couple seconds, then slowly bring it back to its original starting position. •Repeat the same action with the other arm. •Complete for each arm 4 more times.
You can also use an individual tennis ball to relieve lower back, buttock, or even sciatica pain.
Place the ball under your back, buttock, or upper thigh while you lie on the floor and gently move yourself around to find sore muscle groups. Once you find a tender spot, you can focus and press there, but not too hard. Do not roll the ball directly over your spine. And stop right away if you feel any sharp or sudden pain.
Massage is just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to ways to relieve lower back pain. Exercise is crucial to keeping lower back pain at bay, and there are many low-impact options that can help you keep moving. #Consciousvibrancy

Have you ever just truly looked at pictures that have been taken of you and actually just taken them in?
So often we glance at a picture of ourselves and pick out every reason why we hate it.
Our eyes are half opened. We have a slight double chin. We aren’t standing up quite straight enough to tuck in that tiny bit of extra weight. Our legs look chubby.....I could go on and on and on! And I’m sure you could too!
We spend so much of our time picking ourselves apart we forget what happiness is. Or even why the picture was actually taken.
Lately I’ve actually started posting more photos of myself on my personal social media that aren’t picture perfect posed or staged and have been astounded at how different I have started looking at them. Ones where I’m laughing so hard I look like I have 4 chins BUT ALSO I look so incredibly happy, care free, and loving life (because honestly in those moments I am). Ones where I’m maybe not positioned quite the right way hugging a long time friend I haven’t seen in sooo long and look awkward AF BUT ALSO you can see the deep friendship and love in our eyes.
Here’s the reality...life isn’t perfect. Pictures aren’t perfect. BUT the times where you are the happiest and most carefree they are the most perfect ones! And often those are the ones that are captured on camera that we scroll past, delete or don’t post....but that’s not real life. That’s not you. So why not start representing more of who you are. In your happiest moments. In your saddest moments. And in those moments that are just awkward AF for real!

New week, new goals, new gifts. Let’s remember to be kind to ourselves in our thought life. This week, remain conscious of how you’re feeling, and what you’re thinking in your morning life before you leave your home. The morning actually shapes the rest of your day. Win your morning and you win your day.
Some tips to get you started on the right foot:
Listen to music that gets that good juju going!
Drink a nice cold glass of lemon water. Lemon water adds a freshness to the morning—it helps to alkalize your body and mentally gets you tuned into doing positive things for yourself.
Write your thoughts down, even if it is just a quick note. Your brain likes to “close the circuit”. If there is anything bothering you about the day before, or anything you want to accomplish in the week to come, you can write it down. This way, it’s not lingering in your subconscious mind anymore, but it’s down on paper, and your body is able to let it go.
Make a smoothie or shake that’s loaded with antioxidants. In my morning shake, I include a big handful of spinach, frozen berries, and collagen protein.
