been laying really low for the past couple days because i was heading back to Toronto to surprise my best friend/my classmates. let me tell ya something Jehanne-Marie Madeleine does NOT do “laying low” very well. i missed posting lots of stories 💖.
my flight was also delayed so between enjoying the last of Trinidad, packing bags, saying my goodbyes and then having ANOTHER delay i’ve been pretty quiet.
last night, post flight and walking all over the city, made a golden mylk (turmeric, unsweetened vanilla almond milk, black pepper, coconut manna) which felt like a warm hug 🤗, took a warm tub with some epsom salts, put fresh cozy clean sheets on my bed and knock t’heck out #comfycozy #sleepydozy

Mini pies helados de CREMA de CACAHUATE 🥜🥜🥜🥜
🥜3 cucharadas de harina de avena.
🥜1 cucharadita de polvo para hornear.
1. Mezcla los 3 ingredientes te quedará como una especie de masita. Vierte la mezcla en moldes de muffins. Hornear por 15 min a 185 C.
🥧1/2 taza de yogurt griego.
🥜1 cucharada de mi crema casera de cacahuate.
🥧1 cucharadita de esencia de vainilla.
🥜1 cucharada de leche de almendras sin azúcar.
1. Mezcla el yogurt con leche y la esencia de vainilla. Vierte tantita mezcla sobre la base y luego crema de maní y luego vuelve a cubrir con el yogurt. Congela por dos horas y listo!!!

🥜3 spoon of oatmeal flour.
🥧1 egg white.
🥜1 teaspoon of baking powder.
1. Mix the 3 ingredients until it has a consistency like flour. Put into muffins molds and bake for 15 min at 185 C.
Ice cream pie:
🥜1/2 cup of Greek yogurt.
🥧1 spoon of almond milk sugar free.
🥜1 spoon of my homemade peanut creme.
🥧1 teaspoon of vainilla essence.
1. Mix the milk, the greek yogurt and the vainilla essence.
Put a little bit of the mixture into the base and the peanut creme. Cover with the mixture. Freeze for 2 hours and then enjoy it!!!!

feeling all the lazy Sunday vibes, but still nourishing my body with these magic beans! since I started taking them 6 months ago, I’ve been able to flood my body with over 30 servings of fruits and veggies EVERY day. is that cool or what? honestly, the best part is that I hardly ever get sick anymore. my friends could all vouch for me - between grad school and work, I used to catch colds every 3-4 weeks! for most of us, we know we’re supposed to eat our fruits and veggies, but getting the recommended amount via our diets l isn’t always realistic. I know for me it’s not! and now since taking these, I’ve been able to enjoy:
🍒increased energy (no more afternoon coffees!)
🍊decreased sugar cravings
🍋improved immune system
🥦improved sleep quality
🍇clearest skin I’ve had in years
🍉overall improved health

Time to plan for this upcoming week and close this month up strong!
Remember that time is the #1
resource you can never get back.
By working smarter not harder, I mean that you figure out the key processes in your business that drive a majority of your results and then make sure to focus on spending more of your time using them and improving them (tracking key performance indicators). In order to make the time to do that, you have to stop doing less important tasks or at the very least delegate them.
It could be ONE thing for your business that drives 80-90% of your results and if that’s the case then figure out how to spend as much of your working hours as possible focusing on that ONE thing

Sometimes you just have to dance like no one is watching...even if you're the only ones on the dance floor and there are, in fact, hundreds of people watching. .
I still feel like the two college kids who met back in 2002, especially when he knows to drop everything (even the margarita!) and meet me on the dance floor when Nelly comes on! (Hey, I'm from (90 miles SE of) the Lou and I'm proud! 😎) This was the farewell party during our last night in Mexico.
When I read over this list, I see past the shape of the body and see to the pain, the discomfort and the heartache I felt at this size. There is FREEDOM! There is HOPE. As your body changes your life CHANGES. I have been set free. #mybiggerlife #healthcoach
Post-teaching Easy Veggie smoothie 💚
I taught 14 hours of yoga this week, launched my first retreat, kicked off a group cleanse, and organized my quarterly taxes.
The entrepreneur life oftentimes feels like feast or famine. I don’t always have control over my schedule and need to work when work comes in. some weeks that feels like a lot (even when the things that keep me busy are all amazing). What keeps me going is knowing that i’m designing my own life. I’m creating a life for myself that is full of things and work and people that i love and that feels meaningful. what more could i ever wish for?
This life of mine is amazing even when it’s busy. Keeping healthy, easy food around is non-negotiable and essential to my health and success. This smoothie contains cauliflower, avocado, zucchini, spinach, banana, almond milk, protein powder, matcha powder and one drop of peppermint essential oil. This is a meal in a jar and is easy, healthy and delicious.
And now i go take my doggy to the park, because i owe her some quality time and because it’s beautiful outside. 💚

she currently works as a personal trainer and health and nutrition coach in London and Spain. She has a keen interest in mental health and has studied as a counsellor and eating disorder practitioner. Don’t be fooled though, her workouts are concise, tough but also a lot of fun! Health and wellness? Yeah, it encompasses SO MUCH more than what we eat and how we move our bodies. A little over a year ago I became more conscious of the products I was using, how much waste I was producing, and how my everyday tasks effected the environment around me. I started to make small changes in my everyday life and most recently I started making changes to my cleaning routine. The easiest change? Switching from paper towels to reusable rags ✅. The next switch? Getting rid of unnecessary and harmful cleaning products and switching to a natural all purpose cleaner (this one is Young Living’s Thieves all purpose cleaner, but I’ve used and loved many others) ✅. Another big change? Switching from heavily scented (and toxic) store bought candles to 100% soy wax, phthalates free candles. I love a good essential oil diffuser, but candles are give me so much joy and comfort, I had to figure out a way to continue to use them. (Want some of your own 100% soy candles in eco friendly upcycled containers? Check out the link in my bio 😉). Healthy living isn’t about enormous changes, it’s about the small things we do everyday. In honor of Earth Day, take a few minutes to think about some small changes you can make to better yourself AND the environment. 💜
Sustainable results ride on the coattails of slow and steady progress.
We live in a world of instant gratification and quick fixes. Pills, shakes and magical wraps that claim to reverse months if not years of improper nutrition in an instant.
Let me be clear - you don't want the quick fix. Do not buy into anyone or anything that makes results look effortless.
What you want requires work. It requires nutrient dense food and being active for honestly - a lifetime.
Quick fixes are not sustainable and often times leave your body in a worse place than before.
The graph is my personal postpartum weight loss journey for the past year. It was slow yet rewarding. No bouncing back - just consistency.

What if you woke up this morning in a big fluffy white bed, in a sweet little beach town, with sunlight slipping through the windows, and without the feeling of having to dive back into a workplace or career path you dread tomorrow? Would knowing that your future actually look like your vision be worth you stepping out and doing something different today?
It's pretty remarkable that just 4 years ago my life was the same Robotic Life most Americans keep. I’d have an alarm wake me up between 4:50 and 5:30am most mornings, be rushed to arrive at my first job on time to start my work day, then drive across town to continue to the next to make enough to pay rent, groceries, gas for my car, bills, and have a little extra spending money to enjoy life. I rarely got to travel because taking days off meant I’d make no money, & it was sometimes ‘not allowed’ or otherwise highly frowned upon. I was 37 and capped on my income and hitting new financial barriers, like my $10K back surgery deductible, my dental costs, and my every increasing health insurance costs. All i dreamt of was having some kind of business that i could call MY OWN, something i OWNED, and wasn't just a career where someone else would always be dictating my future. .
When i started coaching, i simply did it as a way to earn my fitness challenge for free & have something fun to commit to that would be personally fulfilling. I had no idea it would take me here or become my career. If i can give you one piece of advice i heard from a friend early on as a coach while i was still waffling on if i should pursue this more, she said:
YOU ABSOLUTELY SHOULD FOLLOW YOUR HEART ❤️. Build your dreams, take the leap and simply TRUST that the net will appear 🤙🏻🌴🏹. .
