This was hard not only on myself, but my family as well. This neurological disorder is not genetic, but that still didn’t stop my family from wondering what could’ve been different to have prevented this from happening. I hear all kinds of excuses and trust me I know because I too used to have all kinds of excuses. So here is one “I don’t have time”. We all lead busy lives. I work a full time job, have a daughter that plays soccer and practices 3 times a week plus games on the weekends, groceries, errands, etc. We all have them but I know that most of us can take 30 minutes to work out. You may think you can’t get a workout in 30 min but I’m here to tell you yes you can. I have lost 30 pounds doing 30 min workouts. So I have a few questions for you: 😉When will you put yourself first? 👍When will your health become a priority? 👨‍👩‍👦‍👦Don’t you want to be an example to your family of a healthy and strong person? 🥗When are you going to start making better food choices for you and your family? 🏃🏻‍♀️Don’t you want to have more energy to be more active with your family? Hey family, I am asked very frequently what sports I practice or what is my #gym routine. Só today I am taking some time to cover this subject and give you more or less an overview of my vision of "keeping in shape" .💪👽 To be honest, so far, what was hard for me was not to get my body in shape (pretty much everyone can achieve that) but rather get my mind in shape and ally consistency with acceptance...🙏💕 First, consistency in what I believe does me good: excercing, and second acceptance of the fact that I am human, that my body is different from others and is #beautiful no matter the shape it has just the way it is. 😍 My fit journey today is not about having a body that fits to the #beauty standards. However, it is all about feeling #good with my self, nourishing my mind and soul and taking care of my physical and mental health. I eat well, I am flexible with my food and I never miss a chance to hike, danse, jump, have fun and weight lift because I simply feel amazingly good after producing andorphine, sweating and freeing my body and my mind from tensions. Today @lux_vincit & I went to the grocery store with $10 to get sum deals on fruits 🤗We picked up more cherries cus we thought they were just $1.39. Yeah, no. This was literally THE SKY this morning by me. Amazing, right? . Before I get into my little diary entry, here are some things I think today’s a good day for: - listening to your favorite music while you do something relaxing. - finding an indie book store/library to browse. - drinking an iced coffee while walking through town. - reading in the park. - an impromptu beach trip. - hitting a farmer’s market/flea market. - picking up some food items to make a new dish. - writing outside or by a sunny window. . Last night was a splurge night. I actually don’t like how I handled this one, it’s only the second, and I’m thinking two a month will be a good balance for me to stay on track. . I overindulged. I ate while I was super full and didn’t really want to eat. Old habits die hard. I got worried this morning and wondered if I was going to have a hard time getting back on track. I think I just need to stay #focused . Focus on the good. Focus on my feelings and what I need to do to be happy. I need to commit to myself so I can learn to trust myself. It’s ear cleaning day...I absolutely hate getting my ears cleaned but my parents say it keeps me from getting ears infections. Usually when I see the bottle come out I jump on top of my daddy for protection. Most of you poodle moms probably know this, but for those that don’t: we poodles get really bad ear infections so it’s important to keep them clean! Today we going to talk about the other food items that we should be avoiding during monsoon. -Chaat is a roadside snack we all love to eat. Chaat includes gol gappas, bhel puri, dahi puri,sev puri,papri chaat and many more.But having them from the roadside can be dangerous as chances of usage of contaminated water while making these snacks are high leading to infections and diseases like diarrhea or jaundice.The chutney and vegetables like onion,potato and corriander used in these chaats also need not be hygienic.So its best to have homemade chaats where we use proper hygiene to make it and hence chances of infection is much less. -Fizzy drinks reduce minerals in our body, which in turn leads to reduction of enzyme activity. Hence it is better to avoid them, especially in monsoons, where digestive system is already weak.Rather keep a bottle of water or nimbu paani handy or stick to warm beverages like ginger tea.And trust me our digestive system will thank us for it. -Seafood-Its the breeding time for the prawns and fish so they are best to be avoided during this time.If at all its necessary to have sea food, make sure only the freshest variety of it is consumed and we take extra care to cook them as well. -Mushrooms- Mushrooms grow in damp soil and have to be cleaned properly before they are eaten. But the risk of infection and bacterial growth on them is much higher in the monsoons which makes them to this list. Taking control of everything and everyone in our lives is simply not viable. It’s delusional to think you can and quite frankly it’s exhausting. I am guilty of trying to change people. I am guilty of getting all angst about what people are going to do and say. I am guilty of fearing rejection. 🚫 . If we can start to focus our energy on aspects we can control we can much better balance and stabilise our emotions and thoughts. Detaching from the idea we need to control everything to feel secure is an illusion. Letting go of what no longer serves us is a form of becoming stronger and frees up room to show up as your best self. Hope everyone is awesome and their weekend is super ✨
I have always wanted to be a Mom. I wanted nothing more than to be home raising my little ones. I know that doesn’t sound like the most exciting dream but its my heart. Before I became a Lifestyle Coach I absolutely had to work a full time plus job to be able to support my little family. My husband had to work every single day and weekend as well. We never saw our child. . I knew that I was not living my truth or my dream. I knew there had to be a better way. In 2012 I stumbled upon a post just like this one. It went something like this “Come learn how you can get physically and financially fit!” That is what I needed personally and what my family needed. . We needed to get physically and financially fit, so I joined the life call on my computer and I was 100% in from the moment my sponsor started to talk. She was a stay at home Mom with a team of other Women living their truth! Helping other Women and are home with their kiddos. They were making a contribution to their family all while being with their kids. Yep they had what I wanted. . Cut to 2018. I have since gone on to become a 7 FIGURE earner, I have soared to the top of our company had have traveled on first class trips across the world I would have never been able to take my family on before.
