What does health and wellbeing mean to you, and how would you explain these terms to someone else? 🤔
we are passionate about improving health and wellbeing in the corporate work environment because we know first hand the positive impact it can have to both employer and employee.
But in order to improve health and wellbeing in the workplace, it can be useful to understand what is meant by these terms.
Despite the wellness sector gaining in popularity over the years, which is fantastic 🙌🏼, did you know that there isn’t really one agreed upon definition of what wellbeing is.
Some sources report it is a state of being in a good or satisfactory condition of existence; others relate it to happiness or prosperity; or a state characterised by health or lack of ill-health.
There are various objective measures of wellbeing, such as life expectancy, job satisfaction, or general levels of anxiety, but again, no single means of measuring this popular term.
