Who hasn't had an emotional breakdown?
I haven't had many, but I had, the last one was about all and nothing (as probably all the breakdowns). Usually I can handle pretty much everything that's going on, but there is a point where the only thing that you need is a small gateaway. What I found calming ? Is going to the woods, just to walk get fresh air and talk about it.
#Yoga it also a good gateaway with no need to go anywhere (
although doing yoga outdoor it's even better!)
I did a small research 🤓 to learn why being in nature is relaxing? Here is what I found:
1) The levels of oxygen in your brain are tied to levels of serotin, the neurotransmitter that affects your mood , apettite, memory, etc. Breathing fresh air can help you regulate your serotin lev els and promotes happiness and well being.
2) In polluted or indoor environments, the body has to work harder to get the oxygen it needs to function. This raises your heart rate and blood pressure. Breathing fresh air improves your blood pressure.
3) Going for a hike or ride in the bike will raise your endorphins which will make you feel good, clear headed and calm.
Last one of the 2018 Open!!! 18.5 scaled ~ Thrusters and Jumping Chin-Over-Bar Pull-ups!!! 3-3-6-6-9-9-12-12-15-5=80 reps in 7 minutes. I am really proud of how far I have come. Not to shabby for my first open!!!

So I picked up this journal 📓 at the recommendation of my health coach (through my insurance company) I’ve been speaking with her for a few months now regarding my health journey. I have to say I really look forward to our calls-especially when I’m on track as I can’t wait to share my accomplishments with her. Most recently we were discussing my upcoming birthday and how torn I’ve been-part of me wants to indulge like there’s no tomorrow, but my sensible self says I can’t sabotage myself like that as it’ll set me up to spiral. I’ve gone through emotions of feeling so angry with myself as to why I can’t go out like a normal person, then I felt sorry for myself. You name it, I’ve been through it. Crazy. I tend to be all or nothing with my health journey-no middle ground. She’s hoping that I may uncover things about myself by journaling, such as why do I put so much pressure on myself to be perfect. 🤷♀️ I’m feeling better about it now-I’m planning a yummy meal (but will be fully tracked!) at home that day with my family. I was in one of those M O O D S 🙄 where I didn’t want to do anything 👋🏼
I worked last night, slept only 5 hours today, woke up with vicious cramps AGAIN 😒 I basically just wanted to lay in bed the rest of the day ✌🏼
And, honestly, the reason I got OUT of bed is because I was so HUNGRY 🤣🤷🏻♀️ #alwayshungry -
I could feel myself making excuses and coming up with distractions, and instead of staying on THAT track, I switched it UP and made myself change into workout clothes, eat my preworkout meal, CHUG my all-natural preworkout 🌱💥 and PUSH PLAY 👊🏼
By the time I was a few minutes in, I ALREADY FELT BETTER!!!
✖️You see, the ONLY workout you ever regret is the one you DIDN’T DO!!!✖️
I KNOW you know this!!! I know you’ve EXPERIENCED this!!! And I know you KNOW that the ONLY way to NOT feel that sense of regret and failure and disappointment in yourself is to 👏🏼 JUST 👏🏼 FREAKIN’ 👏🏼 DO 👏🏼 IT!!!!!

Appreciation post for my beautiful sister. I am beyond thankful God blessed me with a sister I can also call my friend and my role model. She is an incredible sister, friend, Christian, wife, hard worker, cook, workout/running buddy, and mama to my beautiful baby niece and fur niece. It’s been amazing watching you grow into the women you are today, Bailey. Thank you for being such a great example to Brock and I. I love you to the moon and back! ✨
I thought this was an invaluable piece of information that I got from a TDEE (Total Daily Energy Expenditure) calculator. If I’m in interpreting it right then 1,800 calories is my maintenance calories. Since I want to lose weight and not maintain it and I haven’t started exercise yet (but I will soon!) then I will aim for 1,500 calories everyday. I am 4’11 so that’s why my ideal body weight is so small. I am nowhere near that and I won’t focus on that for now but just wanted to clarify for anyone who might see this and think that’s sketchy.
