After a very long day but absolutely gorgeous weather here in Philly, it calls for a Happy #tacotuesday or this may be a taco plate 🤔
The sriracha may have slipped & a bit too much spice for me, but still delicious & full of flavor!!
Roasted cauliflower & cabbage with olive oil, garlic, cumin || Steamed Brussels with salt & pep || black beans bringing it all together 💪🏻
I took a break from work to make this yummy fruit bowl. I love putting my snacks on a plate so I can see everything I'm eating. It's important to practice mindful eating, so when I make a fruit bowl and take my time enjoying it, I can see everything I'm eating and really be present as I'm chewing slowly and making a conscious effort to slow down and relax for a bit. 🤗
I think that we can all get pretty busy, but our meals and snacks should be enjoyed - we should take a break to appreciate the food on our plates! 😘
Today, I took note of the beautiful colors, the sweetness of the fruit, the crispness of the apples, and the wonderful energy it provided me with. 💕
I found kiwi at the store so I've been eating a lot of it lately and it's been delish! Kiwis are high in vitamin C so add them to your list of healthy treats. ❤

#SALADPORN : Sorry for another salad pic but this is literally my favorite salad ever. I try to always have a salad before dinner if I make the time! It makes me feel soooo good. I’m definitely a night eater — I eat most of my food and heavier meals at night time, so having something super fresh, raw and hydrating beforehand always helps with my digestion! 🥗🤙🏽🥗🤙🏽 THIS SALAD:
mixed baby greens
shredded raw beet
red pepper flakes
red wine vinegar

The Egyptians passed the art of cupping to the ancient Greeks. Both Galen and Hippocrates were also great advocates and users of cupping therapy.
TRUTH! 🙌🏻 Exercise is a CELEBRATION of what our bodies can accomplish, and a challenge to show us just what we’re capable of. Treating food as a reward OR exercise as a punishment creates an unhealthy relationship.
Food is fuel. It keeps our bodies moving, and working and helps them to fight and heal when needed.
We simply cannot out exercise a bad diet. But bad habits are hard to break! I love taking 10 days every month to really focus on my healthy habits. I’m opening up my March 10 day group tomorrow - comment or message me if you’re in for 10 days of awesome!

Portobello Mushroom Tacos
Yeild: 1 serving
- 4 portobello mushroom caps, brushed clean and sliced 1/3 inch thick into strips
- 1/4 sweet yellow onion, frenched - 1 tsp chili powder
- 1 tsp sea salt
- 1 clove garlic, crushed and minced
- 1 Tbsp olive oil
- pinch fresh parsley
- pinch fresh cilantro
- 1/2 red bell pepper, julienned
- #rawvegan goat cheese (see my recipe a few posts back! Or buy whatever tangy vegan cheese you like at the store.)
- 1/2 lime
- cherry tomatoes, halved
- Sauté onions on medium heat until they start to carmelize and cook down, about 7 minutes.
- Add mushrooms, sea salt and chili powder. Cook until mushrooms release water, about 5 minutes, then turn the heat up to medium high.
- Add garlic and cook additional 3 minutes.
- Toast corn tortillas in the oven until they puff up a little and turn golden brown.
- Fill corn tortillas with red bell peppers (raw so there's crunch!), herbs, cheese, tomatoes, onions and mushrooms.
- Serve with lime! Enjoy!

Ever wondered what all the hype is about?
Well, everyone needs probiotics in their diet, and kombucha is a great source!
What are probiotics, anyways? They're friendly little bacteria that help balance our gut microbiome! They make us happier by creating serotonin, strengthen our digestion, make us less prone to colds and flus and help us make essential vitamins. They're the best, basically.
You can take them in supplement form, or get them from other fermented foods, but I'm personally a #kombuchaholic . 🙃

To all my ladies & gents who are interested in nail/hair growth, AND healthier skin, I have a product I think you may enjoy.
This is the product I have been taking for about 2-3 months now, every morning, 1 TBSP, on an empty stomach. 👌🏽 I have taken little “hair, skin, and nail” gummies before and never seen a difference so I was hesitant to start taking collagen. However, it’s literally blown me out of the water and I am obsessed.
As you get older your skin especially starts to lose collagen so idk about you but I am trying to fight wrinkles like NOW so I don’t have to try to fix them when I’m older. 😅
It’s healthy cereal, chia seed and yogurt!

I have a confession.
I haven’t done much of anything that is very exciting to share since I returned to the United States...or so I thought. I’ve been sitting over here feeling that I have nothing to give as I work through the end of my bachelor’s degree until I realized today that I do! I may not be on airplanes quite as much, but I’ve been deepening my wellness practice and performing meaningful advocacy work. I’ve been performing research on students studying abroad and their mental health implications, I’ve been answering calls at 4am for a 24hr crisis line for survivors of sexual assault, I’ve been developing educational materials for students studying abroad about gender dynamics and safety...I’ve been doing a lot and learning a lot and it’s time I share more wellness-centered content. I apologize if some of you may jot be getting your travel inspiration fix quite as much, but I hope that you remain open minded and receptive as I take this new turn. I’m currently redeveloping the website and sorta kinda rebranding (?) Hang in there with me kids, because this is going to be a lovely and wild ride as I pursue a direction that I’ve been craving for awhile🌞
