HEALTHY FATS🥑- don't forget about them in your nutrition plan ⚠️ They provide optimal fuel for your brain and heart, help absorb vitamins and minerals into your body, they are a vital part of the membrane that surrounds each cell of the body and help reduce cholesterol level. Where to look for healthy fats? 👀 My favorite sources are: avocado, coconut, grass-fed beef, salmon, nuts, whole eggs and oils. But there are many types of oils on the market, you can really get confused. Here in my post, you can see which are present in my kitchen and how I use them. 1. 👉🏼🥜 Almond Oil - it's one of the tastiest oils, I use it mainly raw for salad dressings but also for baked pastries. 2. 👉🏼🥑 Avocado Oil - I love this one because it doesn't have any smell or taste (barely a hint of avocado flavor), so I use it for everything: meat, fish, salads, I even add it to smoothies or sprinkle it on popcorn for a healthy butter replacement. 3. 👉🏼🥥 Coconut Oil - although its bad reputation lately, I still include it in my nutrition plan in moderation, coconut oil is very stable and can withstand high cooking temperatures, I use it for baking, roasting, frying and it's an important ingredient in my morning bullet-proof coffee, my favorite one is from @womensbest. 4. 👉🏼🍃 Extra Virgin Olive Oil - I use it mainly raw or slightly heated, it's perfect drizzled on vegetables and used to make vinaigrettes for salads. Many people suggest not to cook with olive oil but I sometimes do, however I raise the temperature gradually and I am not even close to reach its smoke point. When eaten in large amounts, all fats, including healthy fats, can contribute to weight gain. But when you eat them in right amount, you’ll see your hunger cuts down, your brain wakes up and your metabolism kicks into gear. Rotinas alimentares não devem ser vistas como inimigas mas sim como aliadas. A energia gasta no processo de decisão diminui drasticamente, o hábito de ingerir quantidades e palatibilidades (gosto/sabor) iguais diminui muito a possibilidade de não ficares satisfeito. Mas não se enganem, rotina alimentar nem sempre tem que ser comer tudo tudo igual todos os dias, mas sim ter uma estrutura: quer do horário (sempre que possível, claro) e quer das fontes energéticas em cada refeição. Exemplo prático: se calhar em vez da porção de mirtilos poderia substituir por outra porção de fruta, em vez do pão @pachamamainsta poderia substituir por outro similar e fazer também 2 fatias, em vez deste queijo talvez 2 fatias de bacon (moderação) pff não me venham com bla bla carne processada, ninguém aqui acha que comer carnes ou outros alimentos processados faz bem. Mas também há quem beba umas cervejas de vez em quando e não ouço ninguém dizer “processado”. Vamos evitar ser extremistas. De forma geral prefiro o uso de queijo até porque temos muitos trabalhos que mostram os lacticínios como protetores de várias doenças.
