[MEAL TIME] 🐔🐓🍖🍗🍗 Buffalo Chicken Wings and Kaleslaw. The rub: - Garlic salt - Cayenne pepper - Smoked Paprika - Extra Virgin Olive Oil. Pour all into a shaker bag, add the chicken wings and shake it all up to ensure marinade covers all the chicken. Bake in oven at 200°C on the top shelf to crisp up the skin for 18 to 20 minutes. The slaw: - Kaleslaw mix - Sour cream - Thick pouring cream (full fat) - Dijon mustard. Eliminating sugars I use the Kaleslaw mix from @woolworths_au with my own dressing. Chicken soup of course! 🍜 I've been wanting to make caldo de pollo (Mexican chicken soup) for a while now, so tonight was the perfect opportunity! 🐔 But did you know it's not just an old wives tale that this soup helps with colds? 🤷‍♀️ Vegetables contain vitamin A, C and other antioxidants that have been known to help build a strong immune system and fight off viruses. We actually used a whole chicken (cut up but we kept the bones) in this recipe to get the benefits of the chicken bones (if you haven't heard about the health benefits of bone broth, you should check it out!) ✔️ Not to mention, warm soup just feels good on a sore throat and makes your tummy full and warm! • Ensalada de pepino y huevo • 16/365 • Esta ensalada que no tiene la mejor foto porque la tome a las 7 de la noche ayer en pleno corte de luz, me hace inmensamente feliz porque me la pidió mi hija menor para cenar diciéndome los ingredientes que quería ❤️. . Y mi felicidad se hacía cada vez más grande cuando la preparaba porque solo pensaba que no la obligue a comer ensaladas y solo espere que poco a poco ella me fuera pidiendo de lo que veía que los demás comíamos sin generarle un trauma. . No come todos los vegetales que se cocinan en esta casa pero para ser una niña de 8 años estoy segura que come muchísimos más que muchos adultos que conozco. . Esta rica ensalada lleva: 1 pepino pelado y cortado en cuadritos, 1 zanahoria pequeña rallada por el lado fino del rallo, aguacate en cubitos, 1 huevo sancochado. . Para la vinagreta se uso: 1 cda. de mostaza, un chorrito de vinagre, un chorrito de agua, 1 cda. de pulpa de tamarindo, toque de sal y toque de stevia granulada. Integran todo muy bien y lo agregan a la ensalada. . • Avena "sin avena" • 15/365 • Esta delicia salió por casualidad en mis intentos de hacer una panqueca sin gluten sin tener que usar harina de arroz. . Mezcle los ingredientes en la licuadora y lo coloque en un sartén engrasado, pero al estar cocinando pensaba que si en lugar de uno hubiera usado 2 huevos habría salido la panqueca, cuando la fui a voltear se desarmo y para no frustrarme por mi fracasado panquequero simplemente revolví todo y deje que se tostara. . La serví en un plato con leche de coco y un toque de stevia y ha resultado ser la mejor avena "sin avena" que me he comido 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻. . Let's chat about warming meals during the winter season..🌶 . . January comes along and people immediately start 'detoxing and cleansing' which, yes your body can definitely benefit from once in a while, but not during the coldest months of the year (for most people living in Canada, anyways❄😂). Basically, when its winter, your body craves warmth and wants to be nourished. Cleansing with salads and cold smoothies can almost do the opposite of what you are wanting to achieve. Now, I'm not saying these are bad AT ALL, but when its cold, your bod just wants to be warm and when you feed yourself warming foods, your body will LOVE it. . . . Try making some of these during the colder months: ▪curries (my fav are green and yellow!) ▪veggie filled soups ▪miso soup (buy the paste) ▪bean and veggie filled chili ▪crock pot stew ▪organic bone broth ▪stir-fry (load up on garlic + ginger) . . You can make any of these super nutrient dense, nourishing, and even some what cleansing, but in a more beneficial way for your body🔥 . . . What are your favorite warning meals during the winter? It’s winter and I love soups and warm comfort foods. Here’s a yummy recipe I’ve been enjoying this week you can try. To make it healthier I top with roasted zucchini, squash or broccoli. Seriously so good! Healthier White Chicken Chili Ingredients 1.5 - 2 lbs. frozen chicken breast 2 large 1 cup dried white beans washed but not soaked 3 fresh green chilis 2 jalapenos chopped (optional) 1 large red bell pepper chopped about 1C 1 yellow onion chopped about 1/2C 4 cloves minced garlic 1/2 tbsp cumin 1/2 tbsp chili powder 1/2 tsp pepper 1 tsp salt 2 cups chicken stock 1 cup unsweetened almond milk 3/4 cup plain Greek yogurt Instructions Slow cooker: Dump everything into the slow cooker except the plain Greek yogurt and frozen chicken. Give the chili a quick stir to mix up the seasoning. Place the frozen chicken on top so that you can easily shred it when it is done cooking. Cover the slow cooker with the lid. Cook on low heat for 6-8 hours. Remove the chicken, shred it, then add it back to the chili. Mix in the Greek yogurt. It's turning out to be a full-on cooking day. The collard rolls. Filling: crumbled sprouted organic tofu, chopped peppers, prepared long grain, wild & forbidden rice, basil, parsley, sea salt, pepper, nutritional yeast, miso, cashew puree-(takes two secs), minced onion and garlic....mix and stuff. Roll and cover with fresh tomato sauce, bake for about 40 min at 350. Houmous de roquette, noisette et parmesan 🌿 . Je suis une très grande fane de houmous et sous toutes ses formes... On peut vraiment s’amuser à varier les saveurs, on peut en faire à la carotte, à la betterave, aux épinards, nature aussi tout simplement ! Aujourd’hui j’ai testé avec de la roquette, et le résultat était plutôt concluant... En arrière plan, sur la droite, ce sont des chips de chou kale, j’me suis dit que ça valait pas le coup de faire un post uniquement pour ça, surtout que j’ai goûté, et enfaite j’ai beaucoup de mal avec le goût, bref j’ai pas du tout aimé, mais si vous voulez tester c’est très simple, il suffit juste d’éplucher grossièrement votre chou, d’ajouter un peu d’huile, des épices et mettre au four 10-15 min jusqu’à ce que les feuilles soient bien colorées. Pour la recette du houmous, c’est très simple aussi, il suffit juste de mixer tous les ingrédients ensemble.
