"Have you ever wondered what the difference is between the green and yellow kiwi? 🥝 Well besides the fact that the yellow one has a sweeter taste and a smoother skin there are no BIG differences when we look at nutrition.
They both deliver about the same amount of energy (45 kcal per medium kiwi, edible part of 75 g). The only differences are their vitamin C and fiber content. The green kiwi is higher in fiber, almost double, while the yellow one is higher in vitamin C. The amount of other micronutrients (such as potassium) are similar in both.
Little side note about vitamin C: average adults need 110 mg vitamin C per day and because our bodies can't make vitamin C itself, we need to get it from the foods we eat. So if we have a balanced and diversified diet, we really don't need to worry about the fact if we have enough intake of vitamin C. Besides that, it's a watersoluble vitamin which means it isn't stored by the body and if we eat more than our bodies need, it get's lost with urine. "

Essential oils often evoke thoughts of scents and day spas but they are ultimately plant extracts used in so many things. They are even used in the food industry because of their preservative potency against food born pathogens - thanks to their antimicrobial, antibacterial and anti-fungal properties. They can also help with our health and work in our cells! Amazing and safe for us.
