Who else is a green smoothie addict?! I often feel like I’m eating a delicious Sundae when I eat mine even though it’s packed with spinach, avocado, cucumber and cauliflower! I think it’s because I get to top it with delicious things like @rumblespaleo Cacao Kapow Muesli, @nudiejuice coconut 🥥 yoghurt and sweet frozen blueberries. These are like my hundreds and thousands upon my creamy bowl of healthy deliciousness!!! 😋
Finally tried my Yellow Jackfruit Curry with Jasmine Rice from @traderjoes today for lunch. I've seen others use it as a meat substitute so I was curious. I was surprised by the texture which reminds me more of a cooked artichoke. Nevertheless the entree was really good! I used Trader Joe’s Crushed Wheat Sourdough (4sp), Hillshire Farms Naturals turkey (0sp), Trader Joe’s Lite Provolone (2sp), a sliced pickle (0sp), and a spread made with Greek yogurt (0sp) and a teaspoon of Harissa (0sp). 🎉🎉Lavender is the oil I have used the longest, it seems almost a given that if you have a baby you have to buy lavender oil! I really hated it though and rarely used it because the ones I picked up back when my oldest was a baby smelled terrible! They always gave me a headache which also made me nervous to use them around the baby. When I got my top 10 doTERRA oils I was least excited about lavender, lol! I was pleasantly surprised that it did not smell like any other lavender i had tried. This lavender smelled like a real lavender plant, not synthetic perfume lavender. It still took a while for me to LOVE it, but with young kids it is a no brainer to always have on hand. Lavender is a gentle yet effect oil for many applications. 👉Use aromatically this can help create a calm, relaxing atmosphere and can also set a mood for effective communication (hint: diffuse this before having a tough conversation!) 👉Topically is the way my family most often uses this oil. With 4 kids we have lots of booboos, irritated skin bumps and falls! to calm the skin or the scared child, lavender does the trick. Bump update: I’m 19 weeks, which I am considering halfway since twins don’t go beyond 37-38 weeks. They are each the size of zucchini and weigh about 8-1/2 ounces, which is over 1 pound of baby! I have been experiencing some shortness of breath when I’m walking up the stairs and I’ve noticed I cannot eat as much at one time. We find out the genders next week! Current cravings: poached eggs on English muffins! I eat these as often as I can (a couple times per week). And chocolate of course! Lately I’ve been drinking shakes of frozen banana, pb, and coconut with unsweetened cocoa powder. This weekend, before I started this new fitness program, I was so INTIMIDATED. Not about the workouts, because I knew even if they were tough, I would slowly get stronger everyday 💪🏼 but when the creator of this program said “timed nutrition” I wanted to run and hide. /// Let me give you some background, I don’t like change. I do it, it’s uncomfortable, and I know it’s the only way I can get better, but I still don’t like it 😜 so all these doubts crept into my head “I’m a busy mom, I don’t have time to try to figure this out,” and “How am I going to make this work with Harper’s schedule??” But I still meal prepped this last weekend (which took less time than I ever expected) and went into this trusting the process (because I saw the test group’s results and was like 😱😱😱). /// Well I’m on day 4 and my mind is blown! 🤯 is it crazy to say, I feel more productive?? And it’s completely taken out the guess work of what to eat when, because it’s already planned out for me! Yeah I set alarms to keep me on track (cause’ mom life), but it’s been so effective! I’m eating every couple hours, which is keeping my body fueled and my metabolism is 🙌🏼 oh and it’s not a one size fits all meal plan, it depends on your goals and where you’re at in your journey right now. /// I’m feeling way more energetic during the day (not needing a second cup of coffee) and I know my body is happy that I’m fueling it with what it needs. And no, I don’t just eat veggies, I eat carbs, I eat protein, I eat fruit...basically everything! I didn’t want to come this morning. My alarm went off and I couldn’t think of anything worse than going to the gym. Even as I was walking in, I was dreading it! But then I decided to skip the cardio, lift some weights instead and now I feel fantastic! Cardio sucks 👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼 Happy I got it done before Melbourne heats up to 42 degrees too 😁
Growing people is hard work. It’s not all sunshine & rainbows, pop tarts and prenatal yoga {but I highly recommend @annieshomegrown brown sugar tarts if you’re into that sorta thing 😜}. Some days it’s looking in the mirror and seeing all the stretching and expanding and swelling... and feeling lost inside your own skin. Watching the scale creep up and everything turn soft... but accepting that giving in to this beautiful process doesn’t mean you’ve given up on your goals.
For the past 10 years I have always been the yoga student, so it has been a somewhat difficult process for me transforming into the teacher. Up until 2 months ago I had no idea how to sequence a yoga class and had little confidence in my ability to do so, but once I began practicing multiple times a week (5-7days) I realized I had all the tools, I just needed the inspiration. I ordered these cards from @workoutlabs a few weeks ago to make visualizing a flow easier, and so far I love them! I am excited to finish this certification and begin teaching on top of continuing my learning through other yoga teachers🧘🏻‍♀️✨

True life: I'm pregnant and exhausted The last two weeks I had boosts of energy! I was killing workouts and feeling good. This week, I've taken a nap everyday and finding the motivation to get off my ass is almost impossible! At this point I'm listening to my body and allowing it to rest. All about balance guys. As much as I wish I was superwoman and could keep my house clean, finish reading all these baby books, slay workouts everyday and consistently be on my A game, it's just not realistic. At least not for me anyway. 8 weeks of pregnancy left and I've decided on the days I have the energy and feel good, I'll take advantage and kill a lifting sesh in the gym. I’m Timber, affectionately known as the Oil Mama ❤️ I’m 30, I’m mom to 3 girls and a baby boy, and I drink all the coffee. I’m a nurturer by nature, but I’ve embraced the importance of self-care and I will encourage you to as well.
