Its time for one of my favourite myth busters of all time!
Let’s see how many of you can nail this one!
In a recent IG story I asked you guys that SHOULD A KID WORKOUT? And just so I can bust some more myths, workout doesn’t necessarily mean weight lifting! My question here is, how many of you think that a kid(9-10 years old) should start with resistance training?(under strict supervision)
The answer to this question is that he/she has already started resistance training, we just fail to recognise it.
Here’s my nephew kayaking where he’s performing a rowing movement(which strengthens the back muscles) and in the second picture (swipe left) he’s riding an ATV where again he’s against friction to manoeuvre it.
I’m not saying that make a kid join the gym at the age of 9-10, but I’m not denying it either. Its time we all get to know that THE GYM IS BEYOND LIFTING WEIGHTS.
1. Resistance training has proven to improve bone density in kids.
2. It strengthens skeletal muscle mass.
3. Improves overall mobility and flexibility.
ITS TIME WE ALL LEARN THE CORRECT WAY, by BUSTING THE MYTHS. PEACE ✌🏿 #frommind2muscle
