is an AMAZING (seriously so #awesome
mix who loves #redheads
so that’s a #vibe
I can definitely work with! We were basically made for each other 🤣 To other people, #Val
can take a little time to warm up and she’s fully loaded with those #cattledog
settings to #herd
the situation with her mouth. She’s described as a #country #dog
living the #city
life - which I’m all too familiar with because of my own dog. Like most #workingbreeds
, Val loves to have a job and her newest job will be #focus
on the #leash
. She loves a good #streettreat
and dislikes other dogs while she’s stuck on a leash but we have a fantastic base to work from to push that threshold higher. 🙌🙌 I love when I hear my owners say “I’ve never seen x warm up to someone so quickly!” I’m not Val’s first trainer either, so I’m very glad her mom reached out and didn’t give up! My #superpower
is understanding dog #behavior
, knowing how to use my body language to show I’m not a threat and going at a pace they’re comfortable with (the #hotdogs
help). This is what I teach owners and what they in turn teach other people in their dogs’ space (in addition to many other things) to bring the anxiety down and teach their dog how to behave in this crazy human world.
Big ups to @steffenbaldwin
for referring NYC fans like Val my way! His education is so important and the followers that come to me from his page have already learned the #muzzle
is a wonderful tool and are open/ready to learn #forcefreetraining
as opposed to more aversive techniques. If you’re not already, GO FOLLOW HIM! 🐶❤️🤗 He is one of my fave trainers on the planet and even I learn new things from his posts.
