bittersweet chocolate budino, caramelized hazelnuts, nocino cream,

, egg yolks, cream, milk and sugar. The creamy richness is contrasted with shatteringly crisp almond cookies and the crunchiness of the hazelnuts. Last summer, I made some nocino (green walnut liquor from northern Italy) out of green walnuts, Christmas aromatics and alcohol. It’s been aging ever since and it made its debut at the dinner. The crunchy salt and olive oil cuts through all the sweetness and bitterness of the chocolate. Recipe based on @chefico
Despite this dessert being about contrast of textures and flavors, the pop-up’s are all about connectedness. It’s so fun to bring people together to hang out with old friends and to make new ones. Our world can use more friendships and community right now. A HUGE thank you to all my friends for helping me put this dinner on! Love you guys!
