You flushed the toilet, letting out a deep sigh. This was the third morning in a row where you had gotten sick. At first you thought it had been something you ate, but now you weren't so sure. You turned on the water and grabbed your toothbrush, desperately needing to get the taste of vomit out of your mouth.
"Mom, you okay?" Jack asked, walking into the bathroom.
"Yeah, sweetie. I'm fine." You answered, smiling just as you started to brush your teeth.
"You sure? This is the third morning you've gotten sick. Do you need to go to the doctor?"
"No, I don't think so." You replied, as you spit the toothpaste out.
"Mom, didn't you say you got sick when you found out you were pregnant with me, Lilly, and Daniel?"
"Do you think you're pregnant?" Jack asked sounding somewhat excited.
"No, honey." You chuckled. "The doctor said it's best I don't have anymore babies."
"Why?" Jack asked, following you down the stairs.
"Because when I was giving birth to Daniel and Lilly, it was very hard on my body, so the doctor said it's best that I just have you three blessings." You smiled, ruffling his hair. "So what do you want for breakfast?"
"Cereal's fine. I'll get it." Jack replied, grabbing a bowl from the cabinet.
"Alrighty, I'll go get your brother and sister." You said as you headed up the stairs. "Daniel, Lillian, are you ready for school? The bus will be here in thirty minutes."
"Yes, Mom!" Both kids called out from their bedrooms.
"Cereal's for breakfast."
"Yay!" Lillian called out as she raced out of her room and down the stairs.
"Woah, there Nelly." You laughed. "Be careful."
"Okay, Mom." Lillian smiled, going to make her cereal.
"I'm hungry!" Daniel said, leaving his room, as he head down the stairs.
"Well, go eat. There's plenty of cereal."
"Good, cuz I could eat a thousand boxes!" Daniel exclaimed, pouring a box of Fruit Loops into a bowl.
"Wow, that's a lot of food, bud." You chuckled. "You must be growing."
"You think so?" Daniel asked with a mouthful of cereal.
"I sure do." You smiled.
"Mommy, am I growing?" Lillian questioned, between bites of her Lucky Charms.
