Saw this and it reminded me how crazy I was yesterday. I had created a new LOHIT session for the 6.15am intensives and well I did it with everyone yesterday so 4 Sessions totally576 squats and Butt squeezes,288 reps of calf raise shoulder press,bicep curl lunges Tricep squeeze and reverse flys with 3kg weights also 288 jack knives and 12 minutes of 30 second plank. My anxieties and fears stopped me from going for what I wanted in life. . . ❤ Somewhere along the course of my life, I started to let that go. I developed a new mindset. Maybe I just had enough. I knew I was far too creative, smart, and talented to let those things stop me. I started making little changes as uncomfortable as they were. Be smart in your fat loss don’t waste time and energy doing the wrong things 🙌 ・・・ Cardio is one of the worst ways for you to lose fat. - If you want to lose fat, start at the base of the pyramid. Your diet is most important. For Calories, bodyweight (lbs) x 10-12 is a great way to lose fat. For protein, get a minimum of 0.82g/lb, so if you're 200lbs, that's 164g of protein per day MINIMUM. - The next most important thing you can do to lose fat is to lift weights. Stay strong, and get stronger. This will help you maintain or build muscle mass. More muscle means your metabolism is higher, so you burn more calories throughout the day. - You can easily just do diet and weight training and lose fat, but if you have more free time, you can do some HIIT. Interval training, barbell complexes, and sled pushes all work well here. - Lastly, I'd say, avoid long and slow boring cardio, but if you must do it, then make sure you're doing everything else FIRST. Long, slow cardio is your last resort. ⚡️THROWBACK THURSDAY ⚡️ . A lot of you are new to my page and I get asked a lot about my back story. Have I always been fit? The answer is no. Long story short, I was always an athlete growing up. Had three children and gained over 100lbs PLUS with EACH of my three kids. I yo yo dieted for YEARS, always looking for a quick fix..and at some point completely gave up weighing at my highest 280lbs. I became the “kids mom.” My “husbands wife.” I felt total guilt in taking any time for myself. I never did “GNO’s” when my kids were young, hardly ever let lose, never had ME time, felt guilty not making it about them 24/7. I was a mom, not Diana....and that was that! . . A life changing event catapulted me to where I’m at now. SOME family and friends have had a hard time watching me transform....BUT.......it’s not selfish, it’s a necessity. Look at the girl on the left. She was uncomfortable, unhappy, not fun to be around, lazy, depressed, never wanted to leave the house. Working out and getting fit I became (as you can tell by the posture in pic right) more confident, more self aware, kinder, healthier, mentally sharper, empowered. Do you notice these things have nothing to do with aesthetics?? For me it’s all about the FEELS! Feeling confident, feeling healthy, feeling strong, feeling empowered! . I stay motivated because I never want to FEEL like the women on the left......ever again. Heavy Rogue Tank sled work (well over 300lb and highest resistance setting) coupled with heavy rope work, after a 30 degree, 2mph walk on the treadmill that had my heart rate about 165bpm. I was puffin! Didnt need to do anything else. My metabolism was on fire after this workout and my dinner digested like nothing. A great little piece of cardio equipment 👌🏼🥵 The battle rope is awesome for hiit workouts... •• You can mix it up with different variations: 20secs work 40secs rest 30secs work 30secs rest 20secs work 10secs rest 😈 If you really have the stamina you could try 60secs work 60secs rest •• Usually 5-10mins of total workout and rest time is sufficient.
#progression I am absolutely over the moon with my body stats that I had done yesterday 🙌🏼 I have lost: • 8.1KG of FAT since July 2017 (just under 18 lbs) • 11.5% off of my original body fat percentage My goal over the past few months is to be at my absolute physical best by December as I am having a fitness photo shoot 📸 this Saturday with a professional photographer. I can proudly say that I I'm at my best 🙋🏻‍♀️ my leanest, my fittest and my healthiest! Don't get me wrong it hasn't been a piece of cake. Extra workouts. Saying 'no' to things. Prepping food. Finding even more time in my already crazy busy week to stay committed... but you know what. This proud feeling makes it all SO worth it TEN times over 😉💪🏻 Since having my son in May 2017, and implementing my plan into my life from around July 2017, what I'm so happy about is really the consistency of my results 💪🏻 I love my healthy delicious meals.
