I’m excited to say that my painting ‘Whisper’ was accepted in the art and literary journal Inverted Syntax produced by the MFA graduates of the Mile-High MFA at Regis University! It publishes October 30th so on that day visit the link in my profile to view it!
Nothing gives you the same respect for the beauty and danger of nature quite like hiking does. 🙌🏼
The loneliest steps are the ones between the city walls and the heart of the wilderness. Where safety is in the rear view mirror, new territory remains to be seen, and the path out to the unknown seems empty.
But put one foot in front of the other enough times, stay the course long enough to actually tunnel into the wilderness, and you'll be shocked how many people already live out there.
Thriving, dancing, creating, celebrating, belonging. .
It is not a barren wasteland. It is not unprotected territory. It is not void of human flourishing. .
The wilderness is where all the creatives and prophets and system buckers and risk takers have always lived. And it is stunningly vibrant.
The walk out there is hard, but the authenticity out there is life. .
Brené Brown, "Braving the Wilderness" Chapter 7: Strong Back, Soft Front, Wild Heart
I am so honored to be meeting and connecting with so many wonderful and brave souls out here. It's a blessing to hear their wonderful stories of how God is working in their lives. .

This is saint elmos fire of another kind! The fall fire lighting up the mountain sides a few miles before you reach the ghost town of Saint Elmo! After searching for the colors, this was probably where I found the best of it when I visited Colorado this fall, literally off the beaten path! A slaloming way on tarmac, dust and gravel to get up there! A eye catching and fascinating drive up to the top! And not being a uber popular fall foliage place, like maroon bells, really helped a lot!
The mountains are calling, as they say. They do speak in their own way, an ever changing and unpredictable conversation with Mother Nature.
Time off has been put in and now begins the planning! Can’t wait to walk all 500 miles of you. Also, sorry @kategreer3
for the scheduling nightmare I’m about to become 😂❤️
FALL is my favorite time of year. One of the reasons I moved to Colorado from California was to experience the seasons change here. It's a beautiful transformation of beginnings and endings all year round. 🍃🍂🍁🌱
Go🏃♂️🏃♀️ where you feel💕 most alive🌲🍃🍂🍁!
The view from the top is pretty sweet.
We're always trying to simplify and lighten our load by being more efficient with what we bring with us. We always have some of the same essentials, like water, but the rest tends to vary. What items are in your go to for day hiking gear?

Missing these Fall colors 🍁🍂
Decided to wear my boyfriend’s @prana
pants, because they fit better than the other women’s pants I just got 🤷🏼♀️
Missed my brother so much, I flew all the way to Colorado to see him ❤️
