Snowy camping on Mt Shuksan ❄️🏔️❄️
Being on a hike for a extended period of time changes how you experience your surroundings, how you go through life. Values shift, priorities shift, perception changes. Your subconcious pays more attention to things you would have never noticed off-trail.
Like someone's breathing patterns. I would not have been able to describe someone's breathing and for sure not describe the difference in it going up- or downhill. But that night I was so certain that it was different. It's not for everyone to hike on a couple of miles because the planned campsite was taken. Being tired and exhausted. Going uphill. In the dark. Without knowing if the next campsite is already taken too...
Not unusual that your fears show up in such a situation. I can hear it, I can feel it. Don't panic. You're not in this alone.
**This is the last desert post. The next pictures will take us into the Sierra Nevada! The mountains are calling...**
Today’s hike took me to some really awesome spots. I passed the Dutch Doctor Shelter, came to the shores of Lake Sebago and Lake Skenonto (pictured above), found some interesting abandoned buildings on the way to Tom Jones Mtn, summited Parker Cabin Mtn, hiked over Black Ash Mtn and Big Pine Hill, stopped for lunch at Claudius Smith Den, passed through Elbow Brush, and travelled over Pound Mountain and Dater Mountain to my final view at Almost Perpendicular. It was a nice and peaceful 10-mile hike... ⛰ Next hike coming Tuesday: The Gunks!
Snow-packed trees sure are a beauty 😍 PC: @lo371

Amazing sunset in Interlaken! [ENG]
Taking you back to a really good sunset in Interlaken today!
After a 10 hour hike in Grindelwald @flows.tour
and I went back to Interlaken to get some rest at the hostel. But before we really wanted to have a quick swim in this beautiful lake just around the corner. It was soo refreshing after such a long day up in the mountains!
Really missing those long summer days, but also really stoked about some snow that's finally coming down here in Austria. I will share some stories with you tomorrow.
Have you been to Interlaken? And how was your weekend? Let me know in the comments! :) Shalom and have a good evening, Lukas
Wunderschöner Sonnenuntergang in Interlaken! [DE]

If you could backpack anywhere in the world, where would it be? 🎒⛰️ Backpackers carry everything they need - food, shelter, clothing and gear – allowing them to spend longer time in the backcountry and venture into less visited places.
it feels as though my heart is shifting rapidly, shedding all that is no longer my truth, most days I feel that my physical body can’t keep up with my soul and in this discomfort & there is a peace, a peace that can only come when I surrender to my heart and answer the calls of my soul
One of Kauai’s many wonders
Heading home to start editing some of the gorgeous shots I got with @zzensoda
this morning at @rossocoffeeroasters
in Inglewood. So incredibly happy I can wake up on a beautiful Sunday and do what I love. More fun later this afternoon - can’t wait. While I keep you in suspense before sharing my photos from this Sunday funday, here’s a pretty little shot of the Bow 🍂
Winter Wonderland ❄️. Shout out to @neskirimli
for this incredible shot!
Liebe Grüsse Flow 🤙🤙 #reisetagebuch #tagebuch #bergwelten
We are back to the Faroe Islands, a hikers’ dream! 🙏 ⛰😍
The village of Saksun near the northwest coast of the island of Streymoy is splendidly set on a hillside and is one of the most worthwhile destinations of the Faroes. 30 people who live here welcome the tourists to their beautiful church and a museum.

Well my hunch was right, it was a bluebird day yesterday, not a cloud in the sky, the wind at your back and an open road to drive down 😎 #rockymountaindog #nsdtr
We saw some some nice views on our @proactiveahw
hike yesterday. Thankful for the great weather and great people who accompanied us. I’ll be doing a nice long trek through Harriman today, taking in some views and enjoying the cold weather. Hike on! ⛰
Mountain majesty on Mt. Baker. We believe mountains have personalities and Mt. Baker with glorious neighbor Mt. Shuksan, is the cool and mellow one, chill and inviting. No pretense, just come as you are. One of our favs for sure! We also believe it's important to acknowledge the first peoples to inhabit what is now national park or forest land. The first residents of the Mt. Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest were the Nlaka’pamux and Puget Sound Salish tribes.
