With so many to choose from, it’s hard to say which is my favorite mountain... it’s like picking a favorite child 😅 I will admit that San Jacinto is in my top ten for sure. I climbed to the summit once from Mountain Station and again from Idyllwild. Check out the link in my bio for a guide to backpacking this gorgeous trail.
What’s your favorite summit? Can you even choose just one??
Home is different for everyone - where you park it, pitch it, where the heart is. I'd always toyed with the romantic notion of a wanderlust life, picking up and heading out with no physical roots. But I met this guy and over the course of seven years we became one another's home base. And then this fall, we bought a house. And the adventuring we've been lucky enough to take from that basecamp of love and security feels free and light yet the knowledge that we have a real home to head back to, together, that's been so special for me. Everyone craves a different version of home. Everyone's picture of the ideal is unique. But I gotta say, I'm filled with gratitude for this one.
