*** Just say yes. *** Something I learned a few years ago - from the guy who does my hair! - is to say "yes" even when it feels uncomfortable. Especially when it feels uncomfortable and unfamiliar.
When talking with Alan, while he's coloring or cutting my hair, if I'm debating whether or not to take action on something, he inevitably says to me, "you don't know if you don't go." I've adopted this attitude and added, "just say yes" (as long as I don't think it's dangerous). Whether it's trying a new marketing strategy, tactic, or tool, or a travel adventure, if you don't try it, you don't know if it works or if you'll like it. In my case, I've never been disappointed.
I just returned from a 58-hour adventure in Zion National Park with @iamirinaleoni.
When she posted on Facebook that she was going and wondering if anyone wanted to join her, I immediately said yes. I did check my calendar first to make sure I didn't have any scheduling conflicts.
It was amazing, awesome, gorgeous and so much fun. Irina and I had never traveled together. We've known each other for about year, mostly online. And we had a great time hiking (The Narrows is a super strenuous hike), exploring, chatting and getting to know one another. We talked about marketing and business and life and relationships and travel and so much more.
I feel inspired and rejuvenated. 👊
So, the next time an opportunity knocks that feels intriguing, I urge you to just say yes!
Will you? 😘 📷 One of my fave photos by @gotcamerawilltravel
