Still my favourite scramble ever.. Pinnacle ridge on St Sunday Crag in the Lake District, as the clouds danced around us, making it an atmospheric climb. (Featuring @vanilakodey

I cant decide if I like Bryce during winter or summer 😍
This was my first time traveling and trekking solo and I decided to visit Nepal. The thought of travelling solo was daunting at first as I had a list of unsettling questions like will I be safe? Which route should I follow? Who will click my pictures? Also thanks to loosing my cellphone after the first few days of the trip I had no way to contact home or my friends. But those two weeks were the most rewarding experience I had in my life.
I had a deep understanding of the places I visited as I was more immersed in the surrounding.
Being far from home and away from my family and friends made me appreciate people more.
I met people from different countries, backgrounds and culture like the 55 and 65 year old ladies who would jog and run in the mountains while others were struggling to walk or the guy with no nationality and so many more. I learned that you can't always have your way, I learnt to go beyond my limits ,I learnt to be calm,I learnt to respect people irrespective to who that person is, I learned to appreciate life. I learned that patience is of key essence in your life.
Indeed this wasn't just a journey to a distinct land but a journey into one own self.

The sun is shining, the temperature is rising, the UV factor is increasing! Remember that Switzerland is mostly mountain country with a lot of lakes and alpine meadows, so be careful and don’t forget:
🔸 Sunscreen - especially in the mountains and near lakes, as sunshine reflects from water and hits you even stronger
🔸Hat - on the hikes
🔸Vaccination against ticks - they transmit meningoencephalitis, almost all Swiss cantons have increased risk of this disease. Or at least pull your socks even higher😉
Manchmal sind Wanderungen Herausforderungen. Meistens sogar. Oder immer? Was war wandertechnisch bisher eure größte Herausforderung? Erzählt doch mal!
Hier seht ihr mich bei meiner letzten Mutprobe im Velebit. Da ging's runter und ich musste ganz schön schlucken vorher. Aber ich hab's geschafft und war mega happy und stolz 😃
"We are all amazing beings, capable of greatness, but sometimes women are underrepresented in the outdoors and the Hike Like a Girl campaign is in place to encourage women to get outdoors on the hiking trails, to show unity and to send a clear message to the outdoor industry, we are here and we are not going to allow ourselves to be slated by your underrepresentation of us. The same applies to the work I do around racial diversity in the outdoors. As people of color, we too have a place in these outdoor spaces and we are reaching across the table to work with the outdoor industry to bring about equable representation on all levels of diversity, be it gender, sexual orientation or ethnicity. Let’s all work together to love on these spaces and protect them…Future generations depend on what we do today, to pave a better outdoor world tomorrow." - @teresabaker11

"Most great people have attained their greatest success just one step beyond their greatest failure."
I've seen it time and again; but it doesn't just come to you. Can you name your greatest failure up to this point? More importantly, can you name and learn from your greatest success?

The crux of this backpacking trip is managing to get yourself a permit. I was fortunate enough to visit this little oasis in the middle of the desert for the past two years. My first trip down to Havasupai we were unable to visit these waterfalls but I was determined to make the additional 6mi roundtrip journey this year with my good friend @ryanclennett.
We woke up well before sunrise, brewed a cup of coffee and headed on our way. We got lost and turned around at least once or twice, ended up falling down a red dirt riverbank and belly button deep in river crossings seemingly more often than not. But having hours of time with this waterfall to ourselves was more than worth it. ⠀ ⠀

If you stick to the rivers and lakes that you’re used to, how will you ever find the waterfalls?
3:52 am here @ Marrakech Airport, headed to Marseille and then the next train I can catch to Genoa(Genova?) then to Monterosso for the Cinque Terre coastal trail in Italy.
Was able to make it into the Sahara Desert after 2 days of travel and getting stuck on a dune in the middle of the afternoon somewhere in the Sahara - 107 degrees and the wind was just so warm. I would describe the Sahara like the rolling valleys of the blue ridge just sand, not a cloud in sight, and the quietest place on earth.
If you haven’t the chance, definitely check out my highlight reel of the Sahara and Tour du Mont Blanc on my profile page. GoPro shots soon to come... Day 38, time flies.

Dream . Accomplish . Inspire
Today marks the half way mark of my trek on the TMB.
Distance Traveled: 89 km-55mi.
The TMB has proved quite the mental/physical journey of high exposure cliffs, foot blisters, being lost, wrong paths taken, and 10+ miles traveled each day.
Though every stage comes with an unexpected challenge, the route answers with the most breathtaking scenery I have seen in my life. Having the opportunity to experience such a momentous and challenging experience whilst exploring the beautiful mountains of the Swiss Alps has enlightened my appreciation for life itself.
Love life for what it has to offer and never stop doing so, for that is the purpose of life. And in cultivating the opportunity to never stop improving, we can find that not only does life get better all the time, but that life itself is the greatest gift we will ever receive.
