We are getting more and more snow now. Colt absolutely lovvveess it. So much. We are trying to focusing a lot on learning him leash manners now but why should he walk nicely when he can reward himself by diving into the snow?? He keeps getting better on meeting people and dogs at walks, he doesn't bark as much. I know that the method has a name in English but can't remember what, in Sweden we call it "skvallerträning" (= he tells me when someone is coming, I reward and then we're keep walking). He is such a handful but at the same time he is amazing in training (if we don't have to count all the bruises he's given me 😂). We train a lot heelwork right now and he makes such a progress 😍 new training video will hopefully be up tomorrow!

Sunny winter days ❄️✨
Selma is staying with her “second family” while I’m visiting our family in London 😊
It’s great to be back! Feels a little strange that Selma isn’t here but I know she’ll have a great time where she is too. They’ve taken care of her from time to time since she was a baby and she loves them!💕

You may not know this but I am kind of old, will be 9 on my next birthday.
@cannapet helps me keep up with my much younger girlfriend Hula without getting achy and stiff joints. I am like the little train that could with my short legs and never-give-up terrier attitude. No more limping for me after a fun filled day at the beach 🐾🏝 .

“My name is Laura. On trail I’m known as ‘Hey Girl.’ Before backpacking I was in the habit of saying this often to other ladies, so when I started thru-hiking the Appalachian Trail (AT), it was no different. A couple guys I met in those first days thought it was funny and gave me my trail name. In the last 18 months I’ve thru-hiked the AT and the PCT.
Those experiences have been the most impactful of my life. Because of them I’ve seen the intricacies of 17 US states in the United States, met people from all over the country and all over the world, gotten to know landscapes and myself. Hiking the AT and the PCT have been great experiences of my life because of the miles walked, the incredible people and friends I met along and on the trail and nearly 10.5 months living in and among the American wilderness. I met great friends; I fell in love with America, and with a man; I got to know my values, hopes and professional goals; I got to know my best and not so best qualities; but I got time and space to find those edges with no judgement and in a community where most people are doing the same. My thru-hikes opened my eyes, my mind and my heart while strengthening my legs and my belief of what I am capable of. Additionally it’s about the great people, personal growth, and connecting with the places that were in.
This year the AT and PCT officially turn 50 after their congressional designation as National Scenic Trails in 1968. Today there are 11 National Scenic Trails in the US but there are also thousands of other trails in the country. These trails are places that need our help and our involvement. We need to take care of them while we’re out there, but also when we come return home from them. We need to remind each other that public lands need to be protected.”

Yesterday we went to sleep with a dusting of snow falling from the sky. Today we woke up to a winter wonderland. It's that heavy and wet but fluffy snow that packs into a perfect ball.
Before moving to Seattle, I was told it always rains and never snows. Over the last two years here, I've come to the conclusion it doesn't actually rain THAT much and it snows a few times each winter. Maybe we brought a little bit of the Midwest with us. Or maybe people make the weather out to be a little more dramatic than it actually is. 🤷🏻♀️ Whatever the case, I'm enjoying the view out my window as the sunshine glitters across the fresh snow.
