Climb a mountain 🏔 and chill? Why yes please.... . .
After 2.8 miles one way and 1400' (426.72m) in elevation gain I need a rest. . .
I recently challenged myself to hike 52 separate trails in Colorado within a 6 month timeframe. Why 6 months you might ask. We are moving across country in May and I am trying to see as much of this state as possible. . .
Deer Mountain in #RockyMountainNationalPark is 6 of 52.There is so much beauty along the Rocky Mountains and I would like to experience as much as I can. What are some of your favorite hiking trails and/or towns in Colorado? Would love to visit some of them. So many places to see and looking forward to visiting them. . . 📸: @tripaleygoestraveling#52hikechallenge#denverphotohikers#shotonlg#estespark@lgusamobile@denverphotohikers

It is not the mountain we conquer, but ourselves. ⛰🧗🏻♂️😌🙏🏼 #hikingislife
Its a shame. I walk this trail quite a bit with my parents dog, and this one time I saw this plastic chair. The intent was to let people use it so they can rest while enjoying their solitude and beauty of the nature around them, especially the creek just 20 feet to the left. Unfortunately, someone wrote on it threatening to throw it away because it was an 'eye sore.' We all have different ways of experiencing solitude. We need to start respecting how others prefer to experience it instead of criticizing. Seek peace. 👌 -
