Day 293! (I’m back)
I haven’t posted on this account for almost two full weeks. I haven’t been consistent and as in control as I thought I would be able to. I started college and holy crap. Life got a whole lot harder. I was used to my gym and my routine of going whenever I felt like it. I was used to having a lot of equipment to choose from and never running out of machines to try.
At my college the gym is only open very few hours I could go because all of our school teams workout there. I had a very hard time adjusting to this so I completely gave up and legitimately ate ice cream with every single meal. I just stopped caring. I got very stressed out and I didn’t want to try anymore, until I realized AGAIN how much exercising affects my mental wellness. I have worked out a few days in a row and have officially started Keto again. It’s hard for me because I want to eat for comfort and I even got to the point where I would have rather been fat so I could be invisible again. But I’m not letting myself fall that far. I am going to take it one day at a time and do my very best to start posting again, I just want to be the best me.

It's not my bornday in the states just yet, but entering my personal new year in @amsterdam
surrounded by strangers that are now new friends and a hotel staff that went above and beyond to make the moment memorable was different and a vibe at the same time. I call it growth. I used to love planning to honor today with happenings, but the older I get the more I yearn for more simplicity, self-reflection, and genuine love over gifts and/or expectations. I find myself in a constant state of appreciation and gratefulness for life's infinite blessings and God's covering that's never wavered. Today, I have so much to be thankful for and I take the bad with the good never as casualties but always as evolving lessons on the journey as I continue living forward.
I've learned first-hand that the essence of life is not found in the race toward perfection, the grind, burnout, or disconnect, but in the little self discoveries experienced each day during the marathon. Today was dedicated to the ab room and lifting. I like to record myself when working out to see what I'm doing wrong, if I'm doing something wrong, and correct it. The only thing I regret is not pushing myself more during crunches. My back on the other hand feels great! #samanthashead
