also makes some pretty good drinks 🥂, and they're a lot more reasonably priced. The mocktails were a lot more memorable, better flavour combination and more creative in general.
Our < Summer of 8' > (front) 🍋 was a bit bland with just plum tea, bergamot, lime and soda but I appreciated the combined components that improved the drink as a whole. Also pretty something in that cup was infused with gold 😮✨. < Getaway > (back) 🍐😘 was my favourite, everything about that mixture of barley tea, pear, ginger and lemon was great and super refreshing.
While < Blossom Sour > (back) 🍒 was a standard girly floral cocktail with vodka, raspberry, elderflower liqueur and pomegranate vinegar, < Orange Moon > (front) 🌶 was a bit bitter and harder to drink. It wasn't a bad cocktail by any means, I thought I would have enjoyed chilli-infused rum, blood orange, salted cacao honey, lime and soda but it just wasn't for me at the end.

, not so much in Italian or other western-style pasta dishes — but in Asian-style dishes or those with some Asian flavours. Eg, HK-style minestrone soup, or this slightly spicy dish with pulled pork shoulder and tomato sauce. 🍅 So comforting!
Miss the spicy fried macaroni that the Muslim stall at work sometimes does — they’ve been sticking to fried noodles or bee hoon despite my occasional “why no macaroni” whining, sadface ☹️. Colleagues, let me know when you see their fried macaroni!

Probably the best Taro ball in town
Whether it's rain or shine, hot or cold, we all love a bowl of Taro ball, and I think Tarone dessert is the place to go.
The Taro ball was soft, chewy and moist at the same time which was just basically all you can ask for with a Taro ball. The complimentary ingridents like pearls, red bean paste and pearl barley just gave the bite more texture and lifted the whole experience up.
Beside their famous dessert, their Warabi Mochi is also to die for. It was coated with soya powder to give a kind of milky, toasty flavour and paired with muscovado sugar sryup to deliver a richer, caramely finish.
To me the shop isn't located very conveniently but I would definitely go the distance for the Taro ball.

This is certainly a new experience for me. Having pasta cold is actually quite interesting and refreshing, it is kind of like having a light salad lunch. This cold pasta used tomato, scallops as its main ingredient and had a tomato/Tabasco base.
