Greetings, wishing you a peaceful Sunday!
Market day- my favourite day of the week!
I honestly get so much joy from markets, stocking up on fresh seasonal produce, having a chat with my local farmers, establishing a connection with wider community, the colours, live music oh and the free samples 😝. Markets are a great experience for children of all ages, spending time outside in the fresh air surrounded by an array of colour. Children gain an understanding of what real whole foods are, they get to chat to farmers about the different kinds of farms, what it takes to grow fruit and veggies, the names of different produce, paying the farmers and handling change, heck they might even try a slice of capsicum.
So if your looking for something to do with your kids on the weekend, why not try you local markets! 🍎🥕🍌🥦🍇
Don't ever underestimate the power of slowing down & connecting to your heart space. ❤️💛💚💙💜

*Link in bio* What an interesting article! More and more I worry for the future of the arts in spaces that lack an understanding of true holistic development of youngsters. To be a better human you need to be stretched not only mentally but physically, emotionally and intellectually too. The only way to achieve that is through an exploration of a variety of experiences during your schooling career. This is a topic I am very passionate about #holisticeducation #thedeclineofmusic #itstartsinschools

This weekend we are so excited to host the two-day workshop ‘Aromatic Medicine: An Introduction’ with one of the world’s leading herbal medicine practitioners and teachers, Peter Conway. “Aromatic Medicine” can be described as the medical use of essential oils (volatile oils), including taking them internally by mouth. It is a therapeutic modality that has huge potential especially at this time of antibiotic crisis where the microbial modulating effects of essential oils could be part of the solution. Peter Conway considers aromatic medicine to be a vital branch of herbal medicine albeit one that is insufficiently appreciated – this seminar aims to address this by providing a solid grounding in this very powerful approach.
The course will indicate the full therapeutic scope of aromatic medicine but will focus specifically on two interrelated treatment areas: infection and stress.
On this intensive course you will discover: the basics of volatile oil chemistry, the range of actions they possess, the indications they can address and the type of preparations that can be made. You will learn fundamentals such as how to use oils safely, where to obtain them and how to store them – but we will also consider more arcane matters such as the notions of “live embalming” and “aromatic acupuncture”! This weekend’s workshop is sold out, however, be sure to keep an eye on our workshop page for more upcoming workshops like this!🌿📷: @ourgreenhaus

Jasmine is a very soothing, calming and revitalising oil. with the most delicate, rich and very beautiful sweet floral aroma 🍃
For the body
Jasmine oil has been used to help the body detox and relieve respiratory and liver disorders. It’s also used to decrease pain associated with pregnancy and childbirth. It is also a natural aphrodisiac because it’s said to have a “seductive” scent that can increase sensuality. In fact, jasmine oil is sometimes nicknamed “queen of the night” — both because of the strong smell of jasmine flower at night and also because of its libido-boosting qualities.
For the mind
It is known as a powerful sedative and relaxant, which warms and induces sleep. This oil is one of the most common ones for meditation, stimulating the feeling of harmony and optimism, inducing joy and happiness. Also, jasmine essential oil is used for its antidepressant and uplifting properties, and it is the most effective for those who suffer from chronic fatigue symptom, nervous exhaustion, apathy, low spirit, mood swings.
For the spirit
It's said to be the oil of support. Helping you find your own inner support and strength, rooting yourself into your own center and allowing you to seek, find, and receive support in new ways. It can also support you in breaking generational patterns, and bring healing to relationships. It will assist you in processing and overcoming feeling unsupported, alone, or rejected, but also in being flexible while sturdy and grounded. It may also help when you're feeling scattered, overwhelmed, unsupported, resistant toward or lack of connection with others, challenge around trust.

Here are 3 reasons to get a Therapeutic Nutritional Counselor (TNC) Certification:
1. Create a “Shift” in our nations health. As a country, we need to take charge of our health ad the health of individuals closest to us. As a TNC, you will educate others and help them transform their lives.
2. Support your ideals and mesh them into a new or existing career opportunity. Millions go to work eery day and are unhappy with their position. As a TNC, you can start a new career or enhance the position you are already in. Your family and friends will see and appreciate the new you and what you can offer.
3. Know that this is the only Nutritional Counselor certicaretion that incorporate 80+ health modalities. As a TNC, your skill set will be beyond health coach programs. No other course, program or degree comes close to this curriculum.

Standardized testing is exactly that - standardized. A holistic approach allows us to place each student within their own cultural context, and go beyond the limitations of traditional assessment.
Self compassion is not something that I learned at school and it certainly wasn’t on the curriculum when I was in the classroom. 😫
This is slowly becoming a habit for me but my golly, it can be tricky at times can’t it?! 🙈
I think it SO important to teach these skills to our children - I often see meltdowns when they get things wrong and hear the negative self-talk when they don’t get the scores on a test, are not chosen for a team, etc.
What a difference it would make if they learned to tap into the kinder, more compassionate voice instead (usually the one reserved for our friends), the voice that encouraged is to have another go,reminding us of our strengths and whispering for us to try just ‘one more time?’ 🌟
I know that this would have made the world of difference for me, which is why I do what I do ❤️
Help your children become more compassionate with themselves when they hit a stumble. Encourage them to turn on the voice of their ‘inner friend’ instead. What difference would this start to create?
