It is insane to me how different my boys are. Panda is all about the kitchen. Destroyer is not. When it's cooking or kitchen craft time Destroyer is G.O.N.E. Panda needs to do everything I'm doing, which is honestly pretty awesome.
Places unschooling has taken me that I never thought I would go: a game of chess with my morning coffee. Not exactly this right-brained literary nerd's jam...but he was born to stretch me. (Booze in the corner compliments of party leftovers and not an overindulgence problem 😋)
Dude. Kids crates make for the best school room tree decorations!! @kiwico_inc
are our favs! Even though we are using the Thanksgiving ones for IvyKids while we eagerly wait for December! These are the two subs I've kept active and I cant rave enough.
Homeschool mom's be like:
But we didn't use the whole book. I can pull stickers, erase it, and it'll be perfect for number 2.
A hour later I have slight regrets and a sore hand but a fresh book for number 2.
#homeschoolersbelike #ilovehomeschooling #educarencasa
Some sweet Peach Kuchen action 😘
hit a home run with these kids today! This was the funnest science lesson to date.
Yesterday we faced burnout and it was horrid.
Today we changed it up, no morning work. We built some of our backlogged kiwi crates and just played.
Sat for almost 1.5 hours got our seat work done now we are doing IXL and education.com while eating some doughnuts 🙌
If you ever asked me to explain homeschool in one word it'd be FREEDOM. Seriously, the ability to shift lessons and just go with the flow has been a game changer for both boys.
This is homeschool 🤷
Yes they are using devices, but what you can't see is one doing hooked on phonics and the other doing math eggs.
We managed to get: language, science, nature, math, history, art and COOKING done in the first half of our morning. No tears, no fits, no fighting. Now they are doing secondary math and language lessons and we will do our chores and life skills after lunch and playtime.
I never in my life saw myself here. I assumed my education degree would go to working within the public school system.
Instead here I am. Living a dream.
