She has a high foul count... 😆
year is ending, but I will continue with my favorite faith based #curriculum
“The Good and the Beautiful”. I enjoyed watching our kids (The Bacon Bits) memorize poems, read classic clean literature, study art and more. 🌹🦋🙏🏽 I prayed on finding curriculum that fit our family. 📚 *They have an amazing book list with clean literature without inappropriate language or behavior. We have been using the book list for our reading consistently now.
*My 3 year old has started Pre-K and loving it with his little siblings trying to dig into the fun activities that come with it as well. *My 5 year old learned so much from the K Primer and has now started the K Curriculum already learning two poems that she has recited for family and friends, phonics and is zooming thru her mini books.
*My 12 year old is learning words, reading fine literature and studying a variety of art he never knew when he was in public school.
*We are also having a great time with the family Science unit I will post more about soon.
The Good and Beautiful has been a great addition to our homeschool style and family. ❤️ @thegoodandthebeautiful #TGTBendofyear
Can’t really see another squad tryna cross us🤘🏼🔥
Somedays "school" looks like children sitting around the table with their school books. Other days it looks like exploring the little creek or forest behind our house. Both have their place. Both provide an opportunity to nurture and expand a child's love for learning. But to be honest, the longer I do this whole homeschooling thing the more and more I'm convinced that they learn far more doing the latter than they ever can doing the former. 👌 #weareatschool #whathomeschoollookslike
PS: So happy that #AB2756
was defeated and my fellow homeschoolers in California are still able to raise their children #wildandfree
!!🙌🙌🙌 #noonab2756 #homeschoolersunite
PPS: Meet Snowflake! Our first frog catch of the season. 🙄🐸😆 (I think the long winter is having an odd affect on some of the childrens' creature naming abilities! 🤣🤣🤣 #snowflakethefrog
I confess... I’m not a political person. It’s never been at the top of my list of interests. Something happens though when governmental overreach seeps into the things you hold dearest to you and threatens your very fundamental rights. It’s like being pushed off a cliff and either splatting on the ground or finding your wings (or Kraken tentacles 🦑) I’ve been on a crash course for the last couple years as I learn what it means to be a true American, sovereignty and standing up for parental rights. California has been like a Skeksi from the Dark Crystal attempting to suck the Essence out of all who live here. Never did I ever think that I’d feel unsafe and completely dishonored in my own home state 💔But.... As I stood among nearly 2000 fellow warriors and amazing children yesterday in the 100 degree hallway of our state Capitol, sharing sweaty hugs, selfies, and great conversation, I felt that same feeling I get at a good rock concert... We were all there ONE in purpose. No one was distracted by division. ❤️✌🏼
Take note, CA law makers... you have awakened a very primal part of all of us parents here and we are teaching our children, the next generation of warriors who we will pass our torches to, that we will not back down... Better recognize 👊🏻 #notgoingaway #NOAB2756 #homeschoolersunite #mamakrakens #daddykrakens #peepstv

Why hello there! I thought it time to do an introduction Thursday for those of you who are new here!
First off, with selfies, I'm always fighting that glare game from being on the frame team. Or if I take them off, my stigmatize makes one eye wonky. So this is me trying my best, Ha! 🙈
Other facts about me is that I have a 7 yo and a 5 yo daughter. Our little guy will be 2 in June. 💗💗💙
My husband and I have been married 10 years which seems crazy to say! Sometimes it feels longer than that and other times shorter than that. Time is a funny thing.
I personally was home schooled k-6, went to public 7-10 and then finished at home my final two years through a private school program. And my husband was home schooled all the way through! We are second generation home schoolers. 😊
We moved from Minnesota to Northern California almost 5 years ago, which again seems crazy with time. It is the place that our children have grown up although I never wanted to live in California. Go figure. .
I love being creative and my outlets change with seasons of life. I also like to laugh and can be a bit sarcastic... 😜 it's from being MN grown I think. .
I'm not an extreme type person. I usually find balance in the middle. For example, I've been purging the past few years slowly. I'm not planning on calling my self a minimalist, I call it just intentionally simplified. .
So where are you from if I don't personally know you? Or if we have been friends for awhile now, do you have something about you I don't yet know? I'd love to hear! ❤
