(Sunday June 16, 2019) Today is the last day of my 12 day warm up to staying active and eat healthy to get ready for the 6 week fitness challenge I joined. . Since I started 12 days ago I’ve hit my goal and loss 2 pounds and I feel stronger! 💪🏽 i was not perfect with nutrition and it was a struggle but I tried my best! . I ate way too late at night (my anxiety meds make me so hungry at night because that’s when I take them. This is a big struggle for me to control my appetite after I take them but I always fail and eat.) . I ate so much ice cream these 12 days but I only ate enlightened 70-80 cals per serving and breyers light ice cream. . I even had McDonald’s once. . But I drank my Shakeology everyday to make sure to get my superfoods and I showed up and pressed play on my workout everyday that I was supposed to. . I’m so excited to see where I am in 6 weeks! My goal for the 6 weeks is to lose 5 pounds and for my goal shorts to be looser on me. Follow my 6 week journey on YouTube! Link in my bio! «Self-care means giving yourself permission to pause.» . . It felt so freakin good ! Hier, après presque deux semaines, j'ai enfin pris le temps de m'entraîner. Peux tu croire... Deux semaines !!! 😱 . La dernière fois que je ne me suis pas entraîné pendant aussi longtemps, c'était avant que je commence à m'entraîner. 😂 . Plusieurs vont me dire : Pas grave Mél, tu le mérites. Ça va t'avoir faite du bien. Ça fait assez longtemps que tu le fais chaque jour. Reviens en. Etc etc etc. 🤷 . Mais tu sais quoi ? Non. Pas pentoute. C'est tout le contraire. Ça me fait schnoute d'avoir arrêté aussi longtemps. Ça me fâche de m'avoir permise de me mettre de côté. Pis surtout, ça m'écoeure parce que là je ne suis pas bien dans ma tête, avec ce que je vois etc. . Oh oui, j'ai eu des changements. Des résultats. Mais pas ceux que je veux. Comme, tout sauf ça. 🙄 . Fak hier, j'ai faite un workout de 20 minutes, et à une minute de la fin j'ai éclaté. J'ai pleuré. J'te le dis, t'entraîner, c'est presque qu'aussi efficace qu'un rendez-vous chez la psy. Pis je parle par expérience. 😜 . P.S. Réalistiquement parlant, pour l'instant, je vais me concentrer sur un 4 jours semaine. Si c'est plus tant mieux, mais sinon je serai très satisfaite avec ça. ☺️ . P.P.S. Pis toi, es-tu bien avec qui tu es ? A little obsessed - leg day 💦 also known as sweat fest! 3 rounds with 3 exercises in each round, repeat once. 30 minutes 👊 some of these moves have the sliders (stand on them to slide on the floor instead of stepping) and it’s been a while since I’ve used them so I was a little rusty. Mike didn’t care for those at all. He’s never used them before so he’s definitely not used to them. I like the resistance loops better but we didn’t need them for this workout. LIKE & SAVE if you are bored with your usual chicken breast and wants to add some more flavour to it! I have to say... it’s delicious. You can have it with rice, quinoa or cauliflower rice or with anything you want. . ORANGE CHICKEN Ingredients: * 1-1/2 lb. boneless skinless chicken breast * ¼ cup arrowroot starch * Salt and pepper * 1 tablespoon olive oil * ¾ cup orange juice * 2 tablespoon orange zest * 2 tablespoons rice wine vinegar * 1/2 teaspoon fish sauce * 1 tablespoon honey (optional) * 1 garlic clove, minced * 1” piece ginger, peeled, and grated or minced * 1 teaspoon sesame oil * Sesame seeds, for garnish Directions 1. Cut chicken into 1" pieces and place inside of a large bowl with arrowroot and a big pinch of salt and pepper. Toss to coat the chicken fully. 2. Heat oil in a large, heavy skillet. Once hot, brown chicken on both sides, for 3-4 minutes per side. 3. Remove chicken and set aside. To the pan add the remainder of the ingredients (except sesame seeds). Increase heat and bring the mixture to a boil, scraping up any browned bits on the bottom of the skillet. Once the sauce has boiled and thickened up, add back the chicken and cook through until hot, about 1 more minute. Enjoy! It’s absolutely delicious!

Messing around with programming (finally). I’ve only really ever programmed for fitness boxing until now. Thanks to @rgriffin06 for helping me correct my horrible posture which I’ve been continuing working on and for teaching me some great movements. Thanks to @skulldude666 for some really great advice and help. This is day one. Some of the warm ups: •band pull throughs/pulldowns/t spine/tactical frog. **Circuit: •Barbell good mornings no added weight 1st round add 10lbs for following rounds. •Bent over barbell rows no added weight 1st round add 10lbs for following rounds. •goblet squat 1st round 30lbs add resistance band for following rounds •half kneeling shoulder press 20 pounds. **4 rounds 12-15 reps. 1 minute rest between each round. **Finishers: •hollow hold floor dumbbell chest press as many reps 1 minute. •banded glute bridge palms up for 1 minute. (Had to bring the finishers upstairs because Winston was hollering from upstairs the last 5 mins of my circuit 🙄) **Roll. #truthbomb : none of us “have” time It is absolutely a matter of “making” time to move our bodies which is taking care of our bodies. On the {left} is SUPER EARLY for me on this Saturday morning before I left to run a business event and the {right} is early yesterday morning with my bestie before getting on the road for a 3.5 hour drive home. It is totally a choice as none of us have any extra time these days as we zoom between one thing to the other caring for our families and handling life. If you miss a workout, shake it off and get er done tomorrow; if you eat too many cookies or too much ice cream, shake it off and crack down on your nutrition tomorrow. Nobody is Perfect...
