“For behold, on the stone that I have set before Joshua, on a single stone with seven eyes, I will engrave its inscription, declares the LORD of hosts, and I will remove the iniquity of this land in a single day. ” (Zechariah 3:9, ESV) #HopeForTomorrow
Hope For The Days When Things Don’t Go As Planned “God, I’m crying out to You!
I lift up my voice boldly to beg for Your mercy.
I will spill out my heart to You and tell You all my troubles.
For when I am desperate, overwhelmed, and about to give up, You are the only One who can help me.
You will give me a way of escape and make a way for me where there seems to be no way - Psalms 142:1-3 (Paraphrased). David’s desperate cry to God for help, mercy and intervention when he felt hemmed in by many troubles and disappointed by people and circumstances in Psalm 142 is applicable to everyone feeling the pain of disappointment when things go south in our lives.
He cried out to the Lord for help. He declared that God is his protector, refuge and portion in the land of the living.
God is all he wanted in this life.
God is all he has.
God is his only hope in this life.
When we experience such desperate times in our lives when all seem to fall apart and things don’t go the way we desire or the things we desperately long for remain beyond our reach, we can cry out to God. We can be open and honest with Him about our feelings.
We don’t have to pretend with Him that we are fine.
I cried out loudly to God.
I called to Him for help.
Loudly I plead with God for mercy.
I announced my distress to Him.
I pour out my lament before Him.
I tell Him my worries and concerns.
There is no one around me who can help me.
When I am ready to give up, whenever I am feeling low within me, He knows what I should do. He watches my footsteps. He is there to guide me. “Please answer my prayers,” I cried. I am completely helpless to handle this situation. I don’t know what to do. “Get me out of this situation so I can thank You in public, O God.
So Your people will gather and form a circle around me, and celebrate all the wonderful things You have done for me. You will bring showers of blessings.” David is an expert at calling to God for help. He did that countless times in the Psalms. He cried out to God for help in every desperate situation in his life. He did so with confidence and assurance that God will pay attention to his cry and answer him. 👇🏽
Lying here thinking about the year that’s coming to an and. Am I happy with it? Could i have done something totally different with it? The only thing I know is; I did everything I could to make myself happy and I hope I did others happy too. Life is hard, but as the say: “if you don’t give, you’ll never get.” “If you’ll never try, you’ll never succeed.” I know I found my answer to this past year. “Treat others the same way you want to be treated” Be yourself no matter what, -and always, ALWAYS have hope for tomorrow. Life is fragile. It can be turned upside down within a blink of an eye. We all know that but keep forgetting. I know I do and I have to change that. So everyone... be kind to one-another. Treat yourself and others with respect and love ❤️ This year is coming to an end and I’m kind of happy with with the result. At least I know I can say: I did not do everything, but in everything I did, I did my best, -and I followed my heart ❤️ Merry Christmas everyone and a happy new year. 🎊 🙏🏻 😊😘 #newyear #beyou #beyourself #hopefortomorrow #christmas

I can’t believe Christmas is only a week away!!!
Who’s ready?! 🎄❤️
“Therefore, my beloved brothers, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that in the Lord your labor is not in vain. ” (1 Corinthians 15:58, ESV) #HopeForTomorrow
One of my favorite songs right now is “Do it Again” by Hillsong. A portion of the lyrics say:
“I’ve seen you move, come move the mountains. And I believe, I’ll see you do it again. You made a way, where there was no way. And I believe, I’ll see you do it again.” This song has resonated with me so much and I’ve been holding onto its promises, anticipating seeing God move in big ways in our life. Little did I know the ways He was about to move.
Two weeks ago a deer jumped in front of Mark’s car, banged it up in a bad way, and totaled the car. We had no idea what we were going to do. We already purchased a van earlier in the year and there was no wiggle room in our monthly budget to add in a second car payment. But we looked at cars online, talked about our very limited options, trusted God and prayed.
And y’all…God GAVE us a car. Yes…GAVE us a car. 😭 Friends of ours from Marshall’s school called me up to say that they had an extra car that they had been holding onto and had been praying for the opportunity to gift the car to somebody. And after they saw what had happened to Mark’s car, they were now offering the car to us. I bawled like a baby on the phone and after we hung up and again when I called Mark to share the news with him. I still can’t share this story without getting choked up and experiencing a deep feeling of humility and gratitude.
In this life, I sometimes feel insignificant, overlooked, forgotten. But God reminded me once again that He sees me, sees us. And He hasn’t forgotten. He knows me and my every need. And HE KNOWS YOU TOO, my friend! He sees you and YOU ARE NOT FORGOTTEN! 💜

Last month, Dr. Travis J. Weller (@travisjweller
) and the Messiah College Symphonic Winds premiered “Hope for Tomorrow.” The piece was inspired by and dedicated to my late uncle, Jonathan Herwig, who lost his life far too early while battling cancer. Dr. Weller and the Symphonic Winds put on a beautiful and emotional performance of the piece - a wonderful tribute to Uncle Jon.
If you enjoyed the preview, the video of the full performance is posted on my Facebook page, www.facebook.com/jeffherwigmusic
I would be honored if you took a few minutes to take a listen.

you are welcome Sir.
There is this feeling that comes with knowing that your future is in His hands. It's the feeling of unspeakable joy and praise. It's not common I must tell you.
Praise is a proof that you believe that He will do it no matter what may be happening. You just know that it will all end in Praise!
When you believe, you praise endlessly. Such attitude is not dependent on happenings but the deep seated assurance that it's all taken care of. Not everyone has this understanding, so not everyone has this attitude.
It takes people of faith in their tomorrow to move with unusual wind beneath their wings, renewed hope, and uncommon joy. This kind of feeling is rare I must say. It's only for those who have foresight and faith in Him who has promised.
So for you to have such an attitude of constant praise, you've got to catch that spirit!
Hands up ✋🤚if you wake up every morning thinking it’s Christmas 🎄 but aren’t at all disappointed when your mom tells you it’s in a few weeks, you have no idea what that means so you just hope for tomorrow again. 🌟 #toddlerlessons #seasonofperpetualhope #hopefortomorrow
