As a bodybuilder, it’s a clear fact to me that nutrition is the foundation of our body’s composition. I had never really thought about what was in our dogs’ food though, beyond buying the best kibble we could find in stores. Over 2 years ago,
@cassrro read an article explaining how even the best kibbles contain multiple times the lead content that was recorded in Flint, Michigan at the time. That’s unacceptable. Dog food is far below standards for human-grade foods. Now we feed our dogs real, whole foods only. They eat rice every day with a different protein each time. Sometimes it’s whole chicken, bones and all. Sometimes it’s beef livers. Tonight’s dinner is whole talapia. I never enjoyed this fish myself but our
#rotties enjoy them. We find different sources of meat for them each time we go to the butcher to give them a variety of amino acids and nutrients. There isn’t much that’s off limits. To complete their meals, we use a special canine vitamin mix that tastes of beef along with giving them fish oil. Within a few weeks of us discontinuing the kibble, we noticed both of our dogs were far more active, getting more muscular and had shinier coats. Do your dog a favor what’s in their food. They’re a part of our families, too. DM me if you have any questions at all.
