Growing up, I always knew the importance of positive thinking and having a spirit of gratitude. But it wasn’t until becoming an entrepreneur that I learned I had to actually practice it, to fight for it every day or that day could end up a mental disaster. .
I’ve struggled with depression off and on since high school (because of various things I went through), and still do today. But learning from some of the greats and having tons of virtual mentors has shown me some simple ways to help.
I try to start and end every day by writing out three things or people I’m grateful for. Doesn’t always happen, but the days it does are better. I’m more productive, genuinely positive, and believe in myself, those around me, and God’s plan when I do.
My encouragement would be to try it! Whether you struggle or not. Was thinking about this earlier and stumbled upon this pic from last year and thought, “boy do I have a lot to smile about!” Photo by my buddy @technopaul#withyouforyou
