Today was a really hard day for me emotionally and mentally. Today is the day I officially became divorced from my husband of over 11 years. Didn't have time before court to workout so pulled a major gym session this evening which was very much needed. The gym is the one place I feel peace at, and where I can mentally process things happening in my life. Before my journey started I would have turned to food to deal with my emotions and the hard things in life. Now I turn to movement. Food just stuffs the emotions and feels good in the moment. Movement on the other hand makes me sort through things, and helps clear my head.
So tonight I tried a new preworkout given to me by @maximusnutritionaz
and used my awesome new shaker bottle (thanks @ajam2012
for my Christmas present!) and totally killed my workout. 1st pic is after an hour lifting session (back day), 2nd pic is after my 15 minute HIIT session, and 3rd is after an hour of zumba. I am sweaty AF but my mind feels so much better.
So now that a big chapter in my life is over, here is to looking forward. To moving on, and continuing on in this fight. To live life. To embrace it, to enjoy it, and as always kick some ass along the way 👊😊
