Being healthy and fit, isn't just about being able to throw around heavy weights. I like to think of myself as a well rounded athlete (for the most part). I can pick up heavy things and put them down. I can use speed to my advantage in a game of soccer. I can create power through box jumps half my height and KB Swings at 32kg. And over the past 2 days @xavierrenart has shown me that I can still add some art and creativity to my movements through a flow like this. While there's still lots I can work on to nail this down, it felt so good to move in a way I never have and to go back to a bit of my dancer roots! Road to straddle press to handstand... This is beginner stuff for many people here. But for me it’s a huge progress ! I could barely even « sit upright » in a pancake 1,5 years ago, now I’m not very far from the floor anymore... I could deadlift 205 kg, but this takes a totally different kind of strength, and of course it requires a lot of mobility. Bending and flexing and being less confused! • It’s interesting for me to observe the knots in my head slowly resolve and feeling some of the blank spaces in my movement filling up. • One of the reasons I wanted to learn floor acrobatics was that in some directions I was lost and I just couldn’t move there, or not to a satisfying degree.
