Don’t let set backs discourage you from achieving your goals.
A year and a half ago I seriously hurt my lower back and did some damage to my sciatic nerve. It wasn’t from lack of knowledge to proper form, not enough core training, or not wearing proper lifting gear ( belt, knee sleeves ). Because I was lifting smart. Unfortunately one day I was doing a power day - my PR weight of 1/3 reps. And going down for my second rep I tweaked my back. From that night to about a 8 months after I stopped any kind of leg training besides doing body weight workouts. It sucked but it’s what allowed me to get back to the weight I did a year and half ago, to today.
My point is, like I said... don’t get discouraged when set backs happen. It’s life, and they are going to happen. So instead of letting them define you, let them make you better! Having my injury, as weird as this sounds led me to studying and gaining so much knowledge to building my hamstrings and glutes. I learned so much and it benefited me. My glutes are more full and rounder than they were a year and a half ago. I let my set back help me grow physically and mentally. I want you to do the same when they happen to you guys ❤️ _
