Ginger Curry Butternut Squash Soup With Maple Curry Pumpkin Seeds!
A comforting bowl of soup is what I immediately crave when the seasonal chill starts to set in. Using an immersion blender or high speed blender is the perfect way to achieve creamy soup without dairy. In my continual quest to optimize nutritional value in my food, I added immune boosting ginger and curry powder to this soup base.
Ginger is both anti-inflammatory and immune boosting. It contains phytonutrients which reduce cell damage caused by free radicals and oxidative stress. Ginger has also been shown to have antimicrobial abilities and may play a positive role in the prevention of microbial growth. It can also be used as a complementary treatment for osteoarthritis due to its anti-inflammatory properties. Ginger is also a known aid for nausea and vomiting and can be helpful for morning sickness or an upset stomach.
Curry powder lends a strong flavor footprint to this soup as well. You can blend up your own combination of turmeric, coriander, cumin, cardamom, cinnamon, and paprika, or opt for a mix from your favorite spice company. The spices not only add depth of flavor, but are immune boosting and anti-inflammatory, especially turmeric and cinnamon.
To add dimension to this butternut squash soup, swirl in some coconut milk and top with freshly squeezed lime, maple curry pumpkin seeds, and cilantro.

Nasi goreng🍚 Ik vind dat zo lekker dat ik het als ontbijt kan eten na een avondje feesten🤫Ik maakte een grote pan met zilvervliesrijst (voor de vezels), gemarineerde kippendij, hamblokjes, blokjes paprika, een pakket nasi groenten en een fijngehakt rood pepertje. Stiekem wel met een zakje nasi goreng kruiden van de toko, want het is doordeweeks en dan moet het lekker maar ook snel klaar zijn. Helaas niet altijd tijd om zelf bumbu te gaan staan oeleken. Extra bij de nasi nog een gebakken eitje on top en cassave kroepoek en augurken ernaast. En uiteraard sambal bij!🌶 Ik vond een leuke variant bij de Toko, namelijk sambal met peteh bonen. Ik ben gek op peteh bonen, maar helaas kan ik die in NL alleen maar in de diepvries vinden. Leuk weetje: peteh bonen worden ook wel stinkbonen genoemd, omdat ze erg bitter ruiken. Zo erg dat -net als bij asperges- je urine ook lekker bitter gaat ruiken🤣 Ze zijn btw wel heel gezond. Eet smakelijk!
I was jonesing for BBQ at work today and walked out the front door to see that the ladies from the @402bbq

AD When it comes to Halloween, I am all about the fun foods! Recently, I pondered how I could make a recipe like a cold Layered Dip more festive for Halloween parties. Then, it hit me--- why not serve it in a clean, aluminum foil-lined, fresh pumpkin? This presentation is not only cute but the recipe is so easy and really just requires a few ingredients.
1 pint of sour cream
1/2 cup of shredded cheddar
1 jar of salsa
1 can of RO*TEL Original Diced Tomatoes and Green Chilies
Wash, dry, and carefully sliced a 5lb sugar pumpkin to make a bowl. Remove the pumpkin guts and wash, and pat dry the pumpkin. Line with food safe aluminum foil. Layer in salsa, sour cream, cheese, and then RO*TEL. Using a knife, carefully slice olives in half for the spiders. Cut slices in another olive for the legs. Add some green olives and enjoy with some chips.
I love adding RO*TEL to my layered dip because it provides an easy way to add a little kick to any recipe. RO*TEL is known for delivering bold, adventurous flavor and that is exactly what it did for this spooky dip. I also made some black olive spiders, and sprinkled on some sliced green olives for eyes. My dipping medium was these Black Tortillas. All in all, this combo made a really fun experience for my family. It would be such a cute way to enjoy some tasty dip! Find RO*TEL at @walmart

Starting my morning with a perfectly balanced breakfast—strawberry smoothie bowl.⠀
This pretty little thing has 263 calories, 9 grams of fat, 27 carbs, and 21 grams of protein. ⠀
Here’s how I made it:⠀
- 3/4 cup plain 0% fat @Fage
- 1 cup frozen organic strawberries (got mine @costco
Blend together with a little water until the right consistency. Feel free to add in more strawberries or a little honey if you like it sweeter!⠀
- 1/2 peach, sliced⠀
- 1 tablespoon @bobsredmill
- 1 tablespoon sliced almonds
Friend: “We should eat healthy tonight seeing as we had Burgers for lunch.” .

Our Salad Dressing is simply Organic Avocado mash, mixed with Organic Lemon Honey.

workshop also delved into the origins of chocolate, the processes of turning cocoa beans into chocolate and enabled participants to experience & appreciate the different varieties of chocolate. I got to try out chocolates from Ecuador, Bolivia, Venezuela and the Dominican Republic. My favourite was the Cru Savage 68% from Bolivia - Amazon blend of wild #cocoabeans

Afgelopen week at ik deze lunch wrap met wat restjes uit de koelkast, makkelijk en lekker! 👉🏻 Wortelwrap gevuld met geitenbrie (dit kan je oa vinden bij @plussupermarkt
), in reepjes gebakken courgette, een dot honing en een handje amandelen en hazelnoten. Oprollen maarrr! 🌯🌯🌯 De geitenbrie kan je ook vervangen door gewone geitenkaas en door de warme courgette smelt dit lekker een klein beetje in je wrap. Dit vervolgens mooi op de foto krijgen is best een uitdaging, maar de smaak was er niet minder om😊
