The final stop on my @buttonbrewhouse
scavenger hunt is at a place I’ve never been before. It’s Mon⚡️oon⚡️ Tap & Grill, that particular type of sports bar with good food and overdressed, drunk white ladies who are either having a loud girls night out or are here with their bored, underdressed husbands in jerseys. Think of it as Famous Sam’s-chique, if that means anything to you. They seem to mostly have AZ beer on tap other than some AB-InBev owned bullshit. Plus they have the Button Amber and the Button Traveler Blonde ale on tap. And as if that didn’t make this place awesome enough, three of the dudes who work here started speaking Spanish to each other just as I was typing this. This place is dope as fuck!
Plentiful rains have filled the dry veins of the desert.
If it keeps on raining levee's going to break 🎶
Life is so short. You could literally be perfectly fine one day, then gone the next. I’ve been trying to live every day like it were my last and stop thinking about “what if this happens” or “this could happen” that shit can hold you back from so many opportunities. 6 months ago I would’ve never been able to take this picture because I was always nervous of a panic attack being 10 stories above the ground, hell I could barely make it past the 3rd floor. But today I was able to experience Tempe town lake in a way I’ve never seen it before and it looked dope! Get out there push yourself to get over your fears and live your life🤘🏼
For a while now, I have had the courage to open up to a few classes filled with my peers and tell them my story of the sexual abuse I endured as a child. My art has become therapeutic and I have finally opened my heart to heal. It is a bitter sweet moment as i take down this work. I wanted to help start the conversation, we should not be silenced. ••
So now I am calling for anyone and everyone who feels comfortable to talk about their past abuses. I am working on a new portrait series of survivors, who are willing and comfortable to get their portraits taken. If you are interested, please DM me.

It’s been a wild internal ride lately. The way down deep feels and the battling with knowing and the soft sweetness and the grounded presence. And still. Somehow life is quiet and and small and contained in a way that I want and need it to be and I am working to learn where I fit and who I am in the midst of it all. Today I’m feeling the inescapable reality that I’ve got a cold and there are contractors in the house making A hell of a lot of noise and I’m getting nowhere fast work wise and holy shit puppies smaller than a load of bread still make SO. MUCH. MESS. But those crazy fuckers are also reminding me to stop and laugh and cuddle and get kisses and step outside and notice the bird eggs on the ground beneath the tree and hear the babies up in the branches above and feel the sun and look up at the brilliant blue of the desert sky and just be for a minute in the middle of it all.
