New program was refreshing! It feels GREAT to finish a program, but it’s equally as EXCITING to start a new one. I’m curious to see what kind of results I get from a DECREASE in activity. Going from 6 days a week to 4 days and from 60 min workouts to 30. Interested to see how this pans out. Back to basics with this one - lifting, HIIT, and abs!👊

. Did you know that a wider grip on pull - ups and pull does actually works less of your lats than going narrower? Using a narrower grip will increase your range of motion, engage your lats more, and allow you to use more weight. All of these will yield better growth. 💪🏾

3 weeks into the 10 weeks of intense training and it's going well, central nervous system got fried on push today but had to just work through it. Drop the weight down and keep repping. Planning to implement cardio into my routine soon too, maybe on leg day 🤔
76.9kg currently. Qualified fitness instructor now as well, wouldn't have thought this about a year ago. Consistent and persistent is the only way forward.

I really wish I liked fish more because as you can see, it’s an extremely lean source of protein. Unfortunately for me, I really only like salmon which of course is the only one of these not low in fat. If you like fish, then definitely incorporate it into your diet since it’s a great source of protein. On a side note, I love how when fish doesn’t taste like fish it’s seen as a good thing and if it tastes “fishy” it’s a bad thing. If you only like fish that doesn’t taste like fish do you really like fish? 🤔🤔.

This prep has been a lot different than my last. Last year I really struggled with feeling restricted from food...which ended up leading to quite a crazy post-show binge period. This time around, it’s just straight focus. The only things I crave are my next meal & seeing progress 🙌🏼. 4️⃣ Leg curl machine 5x15
5️⃣ Romanian cable deadlifts 5x18
6️⃣ Standing calf raises 6x15

showing the nutrition info for different cuts of chicken ( and an egg). I'm a big fan of the breast 😉 because it's high in protein and low in fat. I prefer to choose leaner meats and then add fats to the meals by adding foods like guacamole and cheese to it. However, there is nothing wrong with selecting a higher fat/ lower protein chicken source. As long as you still hit your macros at the end of the day, you'll be ok 👍🏾.

On a side note - Body shaming is never cool. If you honestly have a good time talking down to someone about their size, you need to re-evaluate your life. It’s not cute. And it just shows your insecurity. It’s completely unnecessary to attack someone’s size and use that as a weapon to bring them down. Even if the person is very proud and confident, it’s still just a gutter move. Build bodies up, don’t break them down.

Had the biggest bicep/forearm pump today. I wasn’t feeling it at the start but the biggest task is to show up. Once you show up, you start to ease into it. There’s a much less likely chance to back out once you’re already there. The moment you start to let loose and not turn up, that’s when you start to adapt bad habits. Focus on showing up, you wouldn’t skip a day of work. Apply the same principles and go crush it! 💪🏽🙏🏽

I choose the “sprint class” with Marion, which is less from being the easier class (but I love the challenge, hein?)
The class was 45 minutes of spinning, closer to a classic rpm class than to the more choreographed class at Dynamo, highly cardio, alternating between low and high speeds, sitting and dancing positions, endurance and sprints with more/less resistance ✨
A perfect combo for cardio, leg workout and prep for running or triathlon.. Plus, you can follow your real time stats (speed, strength etc.) on a screen with all participants for more challenge ! ⏱
