As I was boarding my flight to Orlando this morning I saw a mother and daughter having a sentimental goodbye that brought tears to my eyes. It was so sweet and I’m sensitive- so it doesn’t take much to pull at my heart strings. . It was a clear reminder to me of what truly matters in life. Life’s purpose does not revolve around your aesthetic, workouts, macros or food. Sure, these things can definitely enhance your quality of life, but it’s not imperative. I know this - but it’s always nice to have the reminder. . Although I do love fitness, macros + workouts aren’t a priority while I’m on this vacation. If healthy choices are available, I’ll eat them and if I’m able to workout, that’s great (an added bonus imo😉)! But if not, im not going to stress about it. Taking it one day at a time and looking forward to time with family.❤️🌴 . Thoughts? How do you handle your routine while on vacation?👇🏼
Already missing the stage💕🏆 I can’t believe it’s already been a WEEK since I did the thing I have literally dreamt about ever since I can remember. This past week has been a whirlwind of emotions and moving and food and craziness but I’m checking out a gym soon to go lift at for today and I’m more then ready to get back on track and properly** reverse diet. Weighed myself this morning and of course I’m going to weigh more then I did on show day but I probablyyy should chill on the sweets and refined carbs🍩🍩 went grocery shopping for the week, have chicken cooking and veggies to make and I’ll be ready to go!🙌🏻 since I’m following flexible dieting now I obviously will be eating more then chicken and veggies but I know if i have those and a carb source on hand, I have no reason to stray away from my reverse. Let’s do the damn thing and get this willpower back!🙌🏻 if I can do it during prep I have NO REASON to not follow my plan. My goal is to step on stage again, but not for a year or so, so I can build more muscle all around and become more competitive. 💪🏼 for anyone out there struggling with their reverse diet like me, realize you’re struggling, talk to someone, your coach, etc etc and have a plan to get back on track and back to where you wanna be. 🎉

You may be thinking “Wtf is this guy say now lol” . . As funny as it sounds, it’s true. I felt alone and clueless as to how I was going to get the stubborn fat off. I had tried everything at that point. I did . . Cycling classes The stepper The treadmill Kick boxing classes Cried (This one didn’t help at all) . . And I got no where! Do you feel me on this? . . You want to get somewhere so fucking bad, but you’re held back by false info that continues to fool you! It can be so frustrating. . . I literally remember sitting in my old house looking at my stomach in the mirror and grabbing it in tears. This was all mental. . . Looking back, I was not obese, but I was not happy with how I looked. If you feel this way, you know exactly how fucking hard that is. . . A constant battle in your head that you can’t escape from. Let me tell you how I overcame this. . . I STEPPED THE FUCK UP! . . I acknowledged where I was and I told myself where I wanted to be. Then I go uncomfortable. I Went to the gym and lifted weights for the first time! . . Have you ever noticed that when you stay stagnant, you receive the same problems over and over again. Because you’re not trying new things, the universe is handing you the same problems over and over again. . . Once you choose to step the fuck up and own your shit, you will PROGRESS and GROW! This will allow you to move!!!! . . I know you feel scared, but trust me, it is so much more worth it to get uncomfortable and put yourself out there rather than just remain where you are! . . I’ve been MIA, well actually just the missing part, no action. ⠀ ⠀ ⠀ Motivation comes and goes, you can’t rely on only that to get you to where you want to be. ⠀ ⠀ I found myself falling back into old habits and this resulted in an unplanned week of laziness and eating a lot of food that makes me feel like shit⠀ ⠀ Instead of being mad at myself for taking that week off and eating not so good, I’m just going to get back in the gym, get back to eating the way that makes me feel my best, and get back to my normal routine. ⠀ ⠀ We all fall off track sometimes. The Brachialis is a muscle that’s often wrongfully ignored. . The brachialis definitely adds to bicep size and since it’s targeted a bit differently than the bicep itself, it makes for a great superset if you combine the two. . The brachialis is targeted if you perform a elbow flexion (curl) with a pronated (thumbs facing inward) grip. This also adds tension on your forearms, increasing forearm size and strength a bit as well, for free. . So try a superset like this out; a supinated grip curl to target your biceps, followed by a pronated grip curl to target those forearms and brachialis, and build massive biceps. . Did you know about this muscle? Have you trained them before? Do you even train biceps at all? In my powerlifting phases I never train my biceps directly, I just do a lot of weighted pull ups. Now I’m in my hypertrophy phase and I want to build up my biceps, I train them twice a week (and pull ups twice on back days). . Comment below, I’d love to know!

Time to hit you guys with a full fire leg day workout 💪🏼✨🔥 - 🍑 Barbell Pause Squats - 4 sets, 12 reps SUPERSET - 3 sets, 10-12 reps 🍑 Barbell RDLs 🍑 Front-Reverse Plate Lunges SUPERSET - 3 sets, 12 reps 🍑 Seated Leg Press 🍑 Single Leg Press Variation SUPERSET - 3 sets, 12 reps 🍑 Barbell Hip Thrusts 🍑 SL Glute Brudges (each side) - Disclaimer: My legs were absolutely DEAD after this workout lol. My main focus was to increase my volume and work on my form, especially for my hamstrings. For me, those are the most stubborn part of my body, since I’ve pulled my right IT band twice throughout my karate career. I still feel the repercussions from my injuries (tightness/early pull, despite my knowledge of stretching and foam rolling), especially when I do stiff leg RDL’s 😩 My form will be off, but it’s something I’m determined to regain back from the constant stress I’ve put on it from all of the training and competing I’ve done. 😅 - I’m gonna do my best to start posting more videos like these for you guys to save for future workout ideas ☺️ Let me know if you guys want to see different videos on here as well! - Happy weekend everyone! 🙌🏼

😐 I am still waking up most days feeling completely wiped out after a full night's sleep, often having to take a nap after eating a late breakfast and finally feeling functional enough to start my day around 1pm if I'm lucky...🛏 and sometimes when I think I can pull myself out of it, I end up crashing really hard during the day and forfeiting my plans all together. 😴 I've seen endocrinologists, a rheumatologist, and soon will see an immunologist (that apparently deals with mostly allergies concerning environmental substances). Next on the list is to find out who can test me for a myriad of food allergies (I would prefer a specialist in food allergies), and if we find nothing there then possibly an infectious disease doctor. I'm open to visiting an intuitive or psychic, and I've heard of something called "Biofeedback" something-or-other that could be a possibility to try. I've had an MRI of my brain, and I've given vial after vial of blood.💉Epstein Barre has been ruled out along with Lime Disease (thank god, and assuming I was tested accurately for both)....so, the mission continues. I am keeping my chin up as best as I can, and albeit very slowly, working toward my goals. I am not 100% optimistic, however I am hopeful. 🎈 #chronicfatigue #fitdespitefatigue #iwontquitonme

1 YEAR. August 17, 2017 ➡️ August 17, 2018. It’s crazy what can happen in a year. - Jacked up neck, concussion, bruising, muscle aches and pains, hip pain, NO range of motion, shoulder pain, etc.... today - shoulder & hip pain linger but I’m doing so much friggin better. - Last year on this day I could barely move. Today I am continuing to work on my planks and push ups. Push ups and planks were impossible a year ago. Now I can do it. 8 months ago I could barely hold a 10 second plank...now I can hold it over a minute and that will continue to get better. 1 year ago I couldn’t do a push up modified or regular... now even though my form isn’t great I can do push ups again! - Mentally that accident took a toll on me. But today - I feel good. Am I where I want to be? No. Am I close? Eh. Will I get there? You’re damn right I will. 14 weeks, 2 days 🤰🏻 I cannot even begin to tell you how GLAD I am to have my energy back🙌🏼 Weeks 5-8 had me on my butt, napping every single day, with NO workouts for those 3 weeks... . Motivation doesn’t always come easy. That’s why we must have discipline. : You won’t always be motivated to get to the gym (I know I’m not) but if you learn some discipline then you can get things done that need to be done even when you aren’t feeling up to it. : I’m motivated maybe 50% of the time... Today I met up with an old friend I haven’t seen since high school + it was SUCH an amazing afternoon! We honestly never even talked or were friends back then—we reconnected on Facebook last year (thanks to coaching🙏🏻) + she’s been in my accountability groups since forever, but we never had the chance to get together in person and I’m SO glad we did. We chatted about life, our experiences + how we’ve both working hard over the last year to overcome our anxiety/depression thru our wellness journeys. This woman is one of the strongest I’ve ever met + I seriously applaud her for being who she is today despite the struggles she’s been faced with throughout life. And I’m HONORED AF to have been the person she reached out to because she needed some positive vibes😭 you guys I NEVER in a million years thought I’d even be the person I am today for MYSELF, let alone be an influencer/inspiration for others. Happy Friday ! I have typed this post a zillion times so now I'm just over it 🤦🏽‍♀️ If you're interested in life update then keep reading 🔹 I have been hitting the gym I just wasn't feeling sharing what I was doing with the world for like awhile 🤷🏽‍♀️ 🔹 I was in a creative block which lead me into feeling sorry for myself. I told myself that I shouldn't share my message with the world anymore. That my friends don't love me and my family could give two shits about me. 🔹 I then created this image in my head about the way I look, that everything I'm doing is wrong and that's why I don't see changes in my body. I was weighing myself daily in the morning and at night and damn near bursting into tears every time I saw the number on the scale. 🔹 And then one morning I really looked at what I was doing and why I was feeling the way that I was. I gave my scale to my husband so he could hide it from me. I brainstormed my ass off and watched tons of videos so I know what I want to create next. I took a moment to see how far I've come with my physical and mental health. I told myself that I am loved, powerful and resilient. I told myself that what I was doing (sulking around) wasn't going to get me where I was going to go and just because I felt sad it didn't mean it was permanent. If you read all of this, I hope you know how much I love you 💖✌🏽

Yesterday, something happened which hasn’t happened since 2013 😭 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 😵😵 I didn’t post to my Instagram feed 😵😵 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Here’s why this is relevant & important: for the past 5 years, I have been ANAL about posting at the ‘optimal’ time, every single day. I go on cruises most summers & I’ve spent £50 per day for WiFi so I could make a post. I’ve even excused myself from parties, and ‘gone to the toilet’ during dinners to make sure I could post some content to help my audience. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 👉🏼But here’s the thing: I’ve now got to a stage where I have realised that it is ok to take your foot off the pedal a little bit, every now and then. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ When you’re in a GROWTH phase, you have to go all in. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ But when you reach a certain level (e.g. 2000+ posts 😂), having one day off isn’t going to make or break your brand or business. I even had people DMing me asking if I was ok and checking up on me because they’d noticed I hadn’t posted. 😭💖 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I am SO consistently consistent & dedicated to my personal brand. Happy, Happy FRIDAY!🎉 what are you training today?! Friday’s are always my designated leg days.😬 I don’t have very strong legs, so leg days are not my fave. . Typically, I like to have two types of leg days a week. One for quick, explosive movements with lighter weights + more reps and the other filled with heavy lifting, less reps, compound and isolation movements. I’ve noticed that I see the most definition in my legs when I train them this way! . Everyone’s different so you’ll have to find what works through trial and error. However, if you’re feeling stuck, why not give this training style a try?🤷🏼‍♀️😉 . Well I’m off to finish the work day, meet a friend for dinner and finish packing for VACAY tomorrow. I was putting on self tanner and discovered some stretch marks and cellulite on my bum I didn’t really notice before. . And I realized, I didn’t know they were there so I didn’t care. Nothing to be self-conscious about right?? . Well what if we never knew cellulite was deemed unattractive? . What if gaining wrinkles was our body’s natural maturing process that we celebrated? . What if there wasn’t media to show super models as the standard we should strive for? . What if I didn’t need this self tanner because pale skin was just as pretty as dark and vice versa? . What if we stopped comparing and just celebrated the bodies we have, and their progression into motherhood, advanced age, etc? . Yes our culture and standards of society are unfortunate, so who changes the thought processes of the masses? . I do. You do. A few people at a time challenging and resisting the bulls***. Celebrating all shapes, shades, “flaws” and scars. Loving your body and all its capabilities. . You don’t have Suzy’s abs or Jessica’s amazing legs. You don’t have flowy thick hair like Rachel or flawless skin like Amanda. But I PROMISE you have beautiful pieces of you that someone else envies. . For many it is a STRUGGLE to notice, admit and even verbalize some beautiful part about them. . But I challenge you to do it!! It’s good for you, to train your thinking to focus on the positive.... EXACTLY WHAT I NEEDED ____________________________________________ On Saturday I took a trip back to @flexgymni It's been a while and it was so worth the visit. Flex became my home gym just over a year ago, it took me a while to get comfortable to new surroundings, just like it is now. But after Saturday I've now got my training back where I need to. I always struggle for motivation come the end of my mesocycle and since my last meso I just continued to struggle. I have yet to adhere to a programme over the last 4 weeks, I took a deload period, tried different styles of sessions, trained how I wanted and I honestly think it's done me the world of good. The clock is ticking and you don’t even know. Do you?⏱ . I had a very interesting childhood growing up in country that was war torn at the time. While we were very grateful to be far away from the war zone, there was not a single day that went by without wondering whether your parents or your siblings will get back home safe (due to random suicide bombings throughout the country) . It’s true that people become numb to their circumstances sometimes, because I didn't realize how much fear I was living in until the war ended and I no longer had to worry about my parents or my siblings getting home safe. . But at the same time, living in such a uncertain world taught me the importance of making EACH AND EVERY DAY COUNT. . So, let me ask you this question, are happy with how you’ve been using your PRECIOUS time? . Because you LITERALLY CANNOT take back the second you lost reading this sentence, and there are no guarantees that you will be here the next second to read the next sentence. . I feel like we take time for granted, especially when we are young and let so many days slip by without a care in the world, because we think we still have TIME. . TIME that we are entitled to purely due to the fact that we are young, even though we have no guarantee that we will be alive for the next second. . Do you see what you are gambling with? . We become so numb to our circumstances and get stuck in our daily routine that we lose track of time and forget the fragility of our own life. . So, take a hard look and see, are you happy with where you are in your life if you were to die within the next minute? . If the answer is NO, then it’s time to TAKE ACTION. . Don’t say I’ll start tomorrow or I’ll start when I have more money, more time etc. At the end of the day they are all just excuses keeping you from unleashing your full potential. . So, here is some tough love from me to you😘 . Stop fooling around with what ifs, and buts and start taking full use of the precious time you have before you realize you are 90 years old on your deathbed wishing you took better use of this “unlimited” time you seemed to have when you were younger!
