: "Zürich glowing at dusk ✨ When I took this picture I was rushing to a friend's birthday across town, with pink peonies from COOP under my arm and my heels getting stuck in the cobblestone of Münster bridge . I saw this view and even though we were already late (sorry, Flo! ❤️) I just had to stop and take it in and appreciate where I am and what I'm doing. How grateful I am to live in a city so beautiful that it can break through whatever stress or rush there is going on in my life and make me stop and just appreciate the magic ✨ I can't believe it's June and we're getting through halfway of 2018? When did that happen? I feel like I haven't talked to you guys in ages and haven't shared my thoughts with you in ages (for the newbies to my page - I'm a long caption girl ☺️). It's just been a crazy time - you know when things happen faster than you can process them? In the first year of an expat move, you get a kind of "free pass" - "oh well it's really new, she's in her first year, of course it's hard/exciting/different". But when year two starts it's kind of like - "it's been a while, you should know how stuff works - stop thinking and start living". Anyone else felt that or is it just me putting pressure on myself? 😄anyway, the transition happens - from everything being completely new, to learning more in detail, forming habits, a lifestyle and having less "new expat" challenges and more "how my life will look in 5 years" challenges. I've been thinking a lot about that - how the blog grows with me, what I want to share. That it's fun to share my lens on this beautiful country but I also want to share the everyday life here - eating, shopping, partying, spending time with friends - as Zurich becomes more and more a home, I want to share what a home here can be like :) sometimes it's watching cows walk along the lake on a Sunday hike in Appenzell, sometimes it's coming home at 6am from Langstrasse, sometimes it's going to a fun blogger event, sometimes it's just stopping to watch the sunset on the way to a birthday party. Thank you for following along and letting me share it all with you ❤"
