Will run for beer 🍻
Day 7 is dancers pose! This is one of my favourites, but it was a full day and I knew that I wasn’t going to get any full yoga time in.
Instead I did my first fun run! All in the rain, but a beer after every kilometre. Had to take a moment to revel in the joy of feeling good in my body with a beer from my favourite brewery. #cowbellbrewingco

What does it mean to you?
What does it mean to you have a well balanced emotional life?
and physical life?
It’s about being able to stay upright when life gets twisty. ✨
To me, it’s all about listening to your body and soul while remembering compassion for others through it all. ✨
It’s so easy to put the wants, needs, emotions, and desires of others in front of our own feelings— in attempts to help solve other people’s problems, make them feel better, like you more, or have a better opinion of someone/something else.
We can fall out of balance from our own lives so quickly by disregarding our own feelings.
It’s important to love others,
It’s essential to help others,
but we can’t do that before we love and help ourselves first.
Stay balanced. — #realworldpocahontas
Day 7 of #FreshAFYogis
Can you guess what it’s about?
Through my Relationship Mastery course, I've been learning a lot. A lot about myself, and about my wants. Something I struggled with for a long time was expressing what I want. When you have had your wants pushed aside time and time again, when you have allowed someone else to invalidate what you want, you end up locking them all up, and hiding the key. Afraid to speak of the them again. Because you were once told what you wanted didn't matter, what you wanted you didn't deserve, that you yourself began to believe those words. And so the cycle of "I don't mind, I don't care, whatever you want" began, and with that cycle you lost yourself, and gained a whole lot of "I am undeserving" mindset. Sound familiar?
Through meeting my beautiful partner, I came to realise how much this affected me, I wasn't conscious to the fact, because it was memories and emotions that were stored away, far far away surfacing as the "I am undeserving" cycle, without consciously being aware. Going further into my Breath-work and Relationship Mastery course, I've come to realise how much of my wants I suppressed. To write down what we want, to say what we want out loud, it's liberating, it's like "YES! I fucking deserve this and more". Try it, think of something you want, now say it out loud, again and again, say it and feel it in your heart that you deserve it. Manifest baby. You got this.
Voicing what we want can cause that negative cycle we get stuck in, that cycle of carrying around a burden and using it as an excuse for things we don't have in life, to slowly start subsiding. Voicing what we want is freeing, freeing from assumptions, expectations, and aggression. It is anger being expressed assertively, yet ever so kindly. It is through unconditional love we can express this kind of anger, "I want this, but if you can't give it to me, or do it for me, that's okay, I'll still love you". Now I am not condoning staying in a position where you are being hurt even though you have expressed what you want. This is where you know your own self-worth.
