Because my @casssmartin inspired hair bun and cute gym clothes had me feeling good. . I’ve done one early Christmas celebration, two to go, along with New Years. Also a surprise birthday party got me full of carbs to put to use. Because I’m usually making good food choices 80% of the time I do not feel guilty eating traditional holiday treats and sharing birthday cake with my loved ones. . This past year I’ve built a healthy relationship with food. Making better choices to fuel my body but also not worrying about the sweets and treats over holidays and celebrations. Look forward to making more goals for 2019.

These are big COMPOUND movements that will stimulate the most back muscle fibers resulting in more growth. Perform these movements at the start of your workouts to make sure you can hit them hard while your fresh! - ENOUGH CALORIES/PROTEIN If you want to build muscle, you need to give your body the resources to do so. A 200-300 calorie surplus will give your body that little bit extra it needs to start building muscle while minimizing fat gain. - Protein is also important in order to optimize recovery and muscle growth between workouts. Have you ever heard someone say, “Attitude is everything?” It was probably from me at one point, but it's not entirely true. I do believe in motivating others. However, I don’t think of myself as a speaker of sorts. A speaker will make you feel good, but the next day you're unsure why. What I aim to do is that, but provide you with something tangible that will actually help you. I would call myself a motivational teacher. The promise that attitude is everything is hollow. In fact, if you believe that attitude is everything, it may actually hurt you more than help you. If attitude were everything, then the only thing that would separate me from any successful career would be the belief that I can do it. It's to not be discounted at all; however, there is another factor that stands in the way that I mentioned last week: talent. Truthfully, no attitude is strong enough to compensate for a lack of skill. Early in life, you don’t have many choices. You don’t choose where and when you are born. You don’t choose your parents, your personality type, or your genetic makeup. You don’t choose your health. Everything you are and nearly everything you do is not up to you, but the longer you live, the more your life is shaped by your choices. You decide what you will eat, you choose which friends to spend time with, whether you will go to college, who you will marry, what you will do for a living. The longer you live, the more choices you make - and the more responsible you are for how your life is turning out. So does a good attitude make any difference? Absolutely. It is the difference maker but it isn’t everything. Most people want to change the world to improve their lives, but the world they need to change first is the one inside themselves. That is a choice - one that some are not willing to make. To change your life, you must make a choice to take responsibility for your attitude and to do everything you can to make it work for you. Your attitude truly can become a difference maker. It’s up to you.

Terry came to me with the goal of stepping on stage to compete in his first natural bodybuilding show - he was dedicated and determined from day one to see this goal through, and holy frick did he ever! . Dude managed to drop a cool 50 pounds WHILST making massive increases to his benchmark lifts through out prep (yup, it’s possible!) . Not a single training day was skipped, not a single macro out of line, never a check in missed! He nailed his entire prep start to finish ... and went on to snag a 2nd place finish in Physique at his show! . You crushed it Terry 💪🏻 I can’t wait to see what goals you set and ultimately smash in the years to come!

Hey Peeps 🐣🐥 • • • Lately I’ve been getting a lot of questions on how reliable movements to build the 🍑 So yesterday I filmed a few great movements to help build and strengthen the glutes. • A few things to mention: • 🍑Progressive Overload: as with any muscle group you’re trying to build, you MUST progressively overload the muscle, either by increasing your weight or reps each week. You don’t need to do a different booty building workout workout every time you work your glutes. Stick with the same movements and PO your 🍑 • 🍑Mind Muscle Connection: in order to truly get the most out of your workout, it’s important to actually FEEL the muscle working. You can’t expect to just go through the motions and completely bullsh*t a workout, then expect your muscle mass to increase. Slow your roll, and concentrate on the contraction of the muscle. • 🍑Nutrition: I cannot stress adequate nutrition enough. No seriously. You know how they always say “it’s 80% nutrition, 20% working out.” WELL THEY AINT LYING!! It’s simple math people, if you’re trying to grow or gain muscle, you need to eat more than what your expending. BAM! 🙌Can’t stress this enough lately! Enjoy all the food these holidays, just because you have a few drinks or a super calorie dense meal it doesn’t mean you have to write off the rest of that day or the following. Which is what a lot of us do. Just because it’s a new day it doesn’t mean yesterdays calories don’t count, always good to get back on track when you can. - ❗️What matters is what we’re eating the majority of the time/on average! daily, weekly, monthly even. Our bodies are burning calories continuously throughout the day, even while we’re sleeping. A few unhealthy meals isn’t going to have much of a negative effect if any, but having that ‘fk it’ or ‘I’ll start next year’ attitude is just setting yourself up for failure. #headonit #needsashave
