You know what the best way to tell what someones true character is? Pay attention to how often they complain. If I meet you & within the first 20 minutes you’re complaining about something then I’ve already lost respect. We all got problems. Some of us choose to solve them & others complain to anyone who will listen. The second one doesn’t do shit for any party involved. If we had more people preaching the positives instead of lamenting the negatives then this world would be a much better place. Energy attracts energy man so make sure next time you speak you got something constructive to add or just simply keep it pushin ✌️
Since the pools aren’t open yet and you’re stuck in the very hot Virginia Heat. The best way I like to cool off or have some relief from the heat is eating froyo or having some kind of cold treat 😻. I just love froyo wish there were more places around Arlington, but that’s just wishful thinking. I also hope everyone has had a Good Friday so farrr 💗💗💗

With that being said lets talk about the main reasons why most diets do not work, here is the first.
The first thing you notice during a calorie shortage is the hunger. You should expect a little hunger whilst you’re in a calorie deficit but with extreme diets you become uncontrolably ravenous which makes it almost impossible to stick to.
More than a dozen hormones influence how hungry or full we feel. The urge you get to eat can also be psychological. You tend to want what you cant have, so if your diet is too low in calories or its sets too many restrictions about what you cant eat, the feeling of deprivation triggers your cravings and binges and causes us to make mistakes.

In my macro counting world, no foods are bad or off limits. I don't give food that much power. I simply eat to fuel my body and often times that includes eating what is traditionally considered as "bad" in the world of dieting. In moderation, I eat ice cream, pizza, and even candy.
Since we're friends now, I have to be honest and tell you that it hasn't always been this way for me. Before macro counting, I would restrict certain foods from my diet and then finally give into the cravings and devour a ton of the food I wasn't allowing myself to eat. I used to feel guilty for eating those bad foods and would feel like I totally fell off the healthy wagon. I had this mentality that if I ate bad food, I could just work it off in the gym. But, we've all heard a million times the common phrase that you can't out train a bad diet. And, as overused as it is, it's 100% true. -
Food is fuel for your body. That's it. There shouldn't be any feelings or emotions associated with it. Counting macros has changed my relationship with food and it's one of the main reason I love doing it.
Moderation is key. Follow a mostly healthy way of eating but don't forget to indulge once in awhile. I promise, you'll be much happier! Life is way too short to be putting food in a time out. -

Por ejemplo, si estás contando tus macronutrientes y son las 9 de la noche y aún te quedan carbohidratos por consumir… ¡CONSÚMELOS! No le tengas miedo a los carbohidratos en la noche 🍓🍪🍿🍨🥪

Ignoren y entierren esos mitos. Si tu coach o nutricionista te dice que no consumas carbohidratos en la noche... CORRE 💀

You can build muscle using low reps/heavy weight. You can also build muscle using high reps/lighter weight. You can build muscle doing straight sets, or using intensity techniques like drop-sets, supersets, etc. (in fact, there are 3 specific scientific mechanisms that explain how each of these stimulates muscle growth – but I’m not tryna bore you guys with overly technical explanations rn & that’s not the point of this post).
Wanna know the least effective way to build muscle? Following a training plan you hate, so that a) you half-ass it in the gym, and/or b) you can’t stick to it for any sustained period of time.
That⬆️ is why I always ask my clients how THEY like to train, and gather feedback from them after each program they complete.
When you over-analyze things, or try to find the perfect, most optimal way to program (been there, done that🙋♀️🤦♀️) you can miss out on the big picture that will get you the majority of your results.📈
Try out different training programs/styles. Find what YOU like to do. What makes you most excited to get in the gym and train your tush off. And then don't forget to have FUN with it! 😉💪💪

Does your back ache when you drive? Does it ache while you sit at work ? 🤔
Why does pain occur? In simple terms..When in a sitting position and your lower back is in a rounded position the ligaments of your spine will be in a lengthened position (demonstrated by the picture on the right). When lengthened for too long PAIN SIGNALS will begin to fire towards the brain 💭
There are two solutions:
1: Make a permanent change and consciously be aware of maintaining the curvature of your lower back by engaging your core. Conscious will lead to subconcious ✨
2. Roll a towel (1 or 2) and place it behind your back to maintain the curvature of your lower back.
