This week’s mantra: Excel at you, because nobody else can!
I’ve admitted this before, and I’ll admit it a million times over because it is SO incredibly common.... I used to hate a part of myself. A very significant part, I might add. I used to be so ashamed and embarrassed of my vision loss.. to the point where I would try to hide it from even my closest of friends. Y’all , one time I even tried to hide it from a boyfriend! Yeah, obviously that one didn’t work out (praise the lord). 😂 Through those years of shame and embarrassment I tried to also pretend like I was confident and happy with myself, but I knew I was living a lie. Finding the #fitness
industry helped me realize that if you feel any type of shame about yourself, then you are NOT experiencing #selflove
. This is what I now know to be true: All of your strengths, weaknesses, flaws, talents, characteristics, and traits are the things that give you a unique perspective unlike anyone else. Those things are basically your God given Trademark! To not take all of those things and make the absolute MOST out of them is a disservice to yourself and all of the other people in this world that you could potentially impact. This week I want to challenge you (and myself) to march to your own drum without hesitation or apology. Excel at YOU, and love every single second of it! 💪 -
