One full page on Kompas newsletter (Indonesia). We are as female graffiti artists are more appreciated each day in here, so blessed.
As my experiences to combine traveling and graffiti in some countries for this 8 years, I realized that Indonesia has the largest street art/graffiti movement in Asia. It has so many crews in one city, many graffiti events each month, many graffiti artworks painted on the streets with or without proper permit, and more than 60 female graffiti artists spread up around Indonesia in more than 10 cities. Thats crazy. A lot of achievements, supports, commissions, sponsors, chances, local and international publications and also problems. One of the unique thingy is: if u are a graffiti artist and ur artwork is not good enough, or doesn't look like a pro from other graffiti artists' eye, but u got so many supports, sponsors, chances and commissions, u probably will lose some of ur friends in graffiti scene who feel like they have much way better artworks than urs but they didn't got commission, support, chance and sponsor as many as u've got. Even ur graffiti friends who used to supported u back than. No matter how hard u try to be good in socialize and stay away from trouble, that thing would come to u in its tyme.
One of my purposes in building a community is: supporting artist to be better(in many ways), artwork, skill, art/event management, 'selling' their skill, and to support each other, so if they isn't good enough (yet), the community will support in many ways to make them better, not collecting the pro ones to be in it and talkin shits about the not pro but too lucky artists. Wider than only focus to the artwork matter.
