The Girl’s Republic | 2018 | Did you know the youngest person to get a divorce was ten? Do you know the name of that person? If you don’t, her name is Nujood Ali. She has become a central figure in Yemen's movement against forced marriage and child marriage. When she obtained her divorce at ten years old, it broke the tribal tradition followed by so many before her. In November 2008, the U.S. women's magazine @glamourmag
designated Nujood Ali and her lawyer Shada Nasser as Women of the Year. | Often I am asked, “why don’t you finish your paintings?” The answer is, I don’t because, we aren’t finished changing the world yet.
